Vicar st - downstairs standing

That was my understanding too, definitely how it's been before

Their website says...

"Capacity

Standing: 1500 1250 standing downstairs, 150 seated on balcony, 100 standing on balcony.

Seated: 1000 750 seated downstairs, 150 seated on balcony, 100 standing on balcony."

And this is the seating plan on Ticketmaster...

A word of warning though, you can see very little over the crowd if you sit down, unless you get the very side seats

That's changed then, I've sat in them for support acts in the past. Surely it's impossible to stop people moving to standing from those seats?

I checked Squid (as I have a ticket so knew it was standing, and figured they can't be selling that well) and there was only standing or upstairs available

Where are you seeing that?

That must have sold those seats very quickly as there's none available now. As others have mentioned they're too low to have a clear view of the stage so would need to be sold as restricted view, it wouldn't make sense for restricted view Block A/B/C to sell-out before the balcony seating which is still available.

As Toast says the downstairs seating was unreserved for Sylvan Esso. I have never seen those seats sold for a standing gig.
