Too many people would have to keep it a secret...

RTE is a fraction of the size of NASA, Vast majority of staff in RTE have nothing at all to do with wages or deals made, so the number of people that knew about this cover up is tiny.

NASA on the other hand, the vast majority of staff are space related workers, so how there is any comparison at all is beyond me.

A dozen people Vs maybe 15000 keeping a secret? And that's NASA only, ignoring all other companies.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,386 ✭✭✭✭Dohnjoe

It's not just NASA, this poster believes all space travel is faked, the moon landings, Mars probes, international missions, everything, that e.g. the Russian space agency, Chinese, European, Japanese are all faking it. That global satellites companies are in on it. That, by extension, astronomers, physicists, schools, universities, the global free press, scientists all over the world are either "dumb" or in on it. Coincidentally this poster believes Newton's third law is bunk and that rockets can't work in the vacuum of space. Can put two and two together there.

So it's no surprise with that type of logic: People at RTE being unable to keep something secret for a few years = Millions of people over decades able to keep faked space travel a secret

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,842 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

Remember that according to the conspiracy theory these people are being very obvious in the deception for some reason. They are dropping clues and hints like designing their logo with a serpents tongue or something.

And that they kill anyone who might be a whistle blower, but do so in ways that are apparently very obvious and make it clear that they are assassinations.

But also they are very good at keeping secrets.

This is a result of conspiracy theorists just not thinking about their claims and beliefs with any depth.

All of these claims might sound impressive on the surface:

    "Look, here's some secret symbolism."

"Here's a list of Nasa people who died."

"Look at this person tangentially connected to Nasa."

It makes for good eye catching click bait for certain target audiences.

But if anyone tries to question these things... tries to put them together in an actual narrative... thinks about the implications...

These are lines of thinking best avoided, suppressed and ignored.

Not a red herring at all. It shows the organisation has been rife with shadyness, sleaze and deception from the very beginning. The only thing that's changed is they've gotten better at hiding it, they've anonymised it, they've outsourced the heavy lifting but continued the fraud in the background, compartmentalised those who are "in on it" i.e. the string-pullers to a very small number, likely all high-order freemasons like Parsons was. Freemasons are very proud of how they infiltrate organisations and command power. This is a well known fact.

What do you mean the vast majority are "space related workers"? Why would this mean that they would have to be privy to all the information? Bizarre point to make.

@Dohnjoe you need to calm down now. I'm not a Russian spy you believe is conspiring to infiltrate boards.ie and hypnotize you into voting for some centrist politician or god forbid, slightly rightwing.

No need for the slanderous untruths either. I did not say Newton's 3rd is bunk, I said orbital mechanics or Newton's laws of gravitation specifically to be absurd. What's really unfortunate for you is that, when challenged on these theories (they were only ever theories), Newton conceded and admitted the very same - that it was "absurd" and "inconcievable" for anyone to believe it as fact. We have the letters to prove it, I am well versed on Newton so be careful with the untruths.

Didn't stop NASA running with the story though 😂

And run with it they did.

You believe it's impossible that rockets work in the vacuum of space (among many other bizarre misunderstandings of secondary school physics) Therefore you maintain that the global space program for the last 70 years is "fake", e.g. you've claimed the ISS is "fake" despite multiple posters pointing out that you can physically see it.

"I don't understand something, therefore conspiracy"

I think you should apologize for falsely accusing me of saying that Newton's 3rd law is bunk.

Ahhh I see. I get you. No logic is needed. No discussion about what a Satanist is or is not. No real deep dive analysis about NASA.

I can shout about this for eternity and nothing will change. Your mind is made up, facts be damned.

Your posts are just mental. Well and truly mental. The point where people shouldn't even be debating with you, they should be lining up an intervention.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,419 ✭✭✭Markus Antonius

Burning astronauts alive is pretty satanic wouldn't you agree?

Also other, less public reports of NASA employees slitting their own throats or shooting themselves in the head 7 times with a nail gun.

    Wonderful organisation...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,386 ✭✭✭✭Dohnjoe

I didn't accuse you of saying it

Newton's Third Law explains how rockets move in the vacuum of space. You don't accept that it does. You trash Newton here regularly and other principles.

It's clear you don't understand it, but rather than accept that, you've chosen to invent a conspiracy.

A conspiracy that would involve vast amounts of people keeping a secret for 70+ years. Which you support by pointing to RTE failing to keep a secret.

Entirely depends on your definition of Satanism.

There's only one religion which mentions nails going through bits of people in this day and age and it's not Satanism.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 7,208 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hannibal_Smith

There's a really good chance it would never have been exposed if checks and balances weren't in place to check for such actions. But they are and it was.

I am well aware fraud is widespread, thats not in question. But that doesn't automatically mean it can prove a conspiracy theory.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,419 ✭✭✭Markus Antonius

Exactly and it can't disprove a conspiracy either

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,842 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

    No. You can.

You can point yo the myriad of issues that make a conspiracy impossible. Like for instance how it would be impossible for millions of people across hundreds of countries and organisations over decades to keep a secret like how all space flight is fake.

You can support this by pointing to how RTE, a vastly smaller organisation operating on far lower stakes was unable to a far more mundane secret.

This is just one way to debunk conspiracies mind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,842 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

    Complete nonsense here.

All based on an already debunked claim that someone was a Satanist when they were not.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,449 ✭✭✭✭o1s1n
    Master of the Universe

But even if they were, why would it matter?

Why would being a Satanist inhibit space travel?

There are loads of different ways of describing modern day Satanists but I don't think 'those who conspire to pretend humankind went to space' is one of their core tenants.

I'll once again pull out that red herring mentioned earlier. It's irrelent.

I suggest you read up on the concept of 'the burden of proof'.

Nobody has to disprove a conspiracy theory. The burden of proof lies with the person claiming there is a conspiracy. Which is this case, is you.

We just have to sit here and wait for you to produce your evidence. Otherwise it's nonsense.

    So where is it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,842 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

I think it stems from flat eartherism where Markus is getting a lot of his conspiracy from.

Flat Earthers believe that a Satanic conspiracy is behind it all.

Unfortunately Markus refuses to engage or clarify on these beliefs and ruins any discussion there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,419 ✭✭✭Markus Antonius

I suggest you read up on the concept of "Sealioning".

Despite your best efforts to make posters believe otherwise, nobody owes you anything.

Your misunderstanding of sealioning and application of it to any and all discussion that you don't like doesn't change the burden of proof.

If you are unwilling to provide any evidence or any defense of your opinions and refuse to even outline them coherently, people are well justified in pointing out that they are not very believable.

People do not owe you taking your views seriously when 1. you aren't able or willing to support them and 2. they are so obviously ridiculous.

Also the fact that the above poster's post received plenty of likes, while you've yet to recieve any kind of support at all on this forum at any point tells you how how good o1s1n's efforts are.

They would also need to fake the details of the trials, and hide that people died, and get that past multiple national regulators and whoever else looks at their trial results.

I'd also expect that the people in manufacturing would have a fair idea about what they expect to be doing for creating any new product and what steps go into it, anything vastly different to normal would be spotted.

You then have that once administered the vaccine side effects on a wider population will be closely monitored and those giving it out to the public would catch on pretty quickly if something untoward was happening.

I don't know what rock you've been under greenspurs but Jeffrey Epstein had been known for sexually abusing minors since 2005 and spent time in prison up to 2011.

Courts were told in 2014 that he ran a 'child abuse ring' where he rented underage girls to prominent politicians and solcalities.

He was known widely to settle many abuse cases out-of-court.

If you're only finding out about his island now, I'm afraid your very far behind the times

So again. We're being told that giant conspiracies can be kept under wraps and an example of this is a conspiracy not being kept under wraps...

As Syd points out this conspiracy was exposed ages ago. And it wasn't exposed by internet detectives piecing together clues from YouTube.

The previous examples of large conspiracies being kept hidden was the idea of 9/11 being faked with secret demolitions and the notion that all space flight was being faked.

Not sure that the Epstien thing really compares to those previous examples.

Do you think Putin, XiJinping or Kim Jong Un have brainwashed their citizens?

Autocratic nations restrict freedom of the press, in the same way they limit human rights.

That's very different from individuals who self brainwash that fantastical conspiracies exist and that free press outlets all over the world work together to "hide the truth" or project some narrative. You, for example, openly believe millions of scientists and journalists work together to perpetuate a grand conspiracy that satellites don't exist.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,419 ✭✭✭Markus Antonius

So you say no, the citizens of these countries are all free-thinkers who want to live in a US-style democracy but their press and rights are restricted so therefore can't...

I wish I lived in this simplistic fantasy-land.

That's not what he said. Very strange tactic here.

You're applying a binary position to people they they don't hold then admonishing them for holding a simplistic view.

Also, you are a flat earther who believes that there is a global conspiracy to fake all space flight because you can't personally understand how spaceflight works. And yet you admonish people for simplistic views.

It is massively simplistic to believe that all journalists, scientists and governments are all part of a global conspiracy.

Real conspiracies do not work this way, and when they become very large the chances of them being exposed increase rapidly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,386 ✭✭✭✭Dohnjoe

Not what I wrote at all.

Certain autocratic countries use state propaganda. North Korea is probably the most extreme example, it's a total dictatorship. You are attempting to use that to project that it's done on a global level, which is, by coincidence, the minimum your conspiracy requires.

I wish I lived in this simplistic fantasy-land.

According to your posts there is a global conspiracy because you admit you don't get how rockets work in space. To anyone, that is the definition of "fantasy-land".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,419 ✭✭✭Markus Antonius

Do you think everyone on the globe sits there thinking about the moonlandings and other conspiracies? None of the conspiracies discussed in this forum even cross the vast, vast majority of people's minds, ever. This idea that you would have to actively fool everyone in order for a conspiracy to exist is ridiculous.

But I've clearly illustrated here your mindset. you think:

-Country of population 25 million: Deception possible 👍️

-25 million people at a global level: DECEPTION IMPOSSIBLE!!!! 👎️👎️👎️

Incredibly contradictory. You either believe in large scale manipulation or you don't. Which is it?

You've written many times that you believe space travel doesn't exist and everyone has been fooled about it. Such a belief requires that millions of people keep a secret over decades, which is the subject of this thread.

It would cross the minds of the millions of engineers, astronomers and physicists who would be aware of the fact that space flight is impossible.

Also, anyone who had an equal or greater amount of training in science than you (which I believe is basically nil.)

These millions of people around the world would be just as aware of the obvious deception you are.

You never address this issue, and simply ignore it.

Also, not sure who you think you are deceiving with this very strange tactic.

I am guessing the inference here is that "North Korea brainwashed" = possible to brainwash lots of people into believing some big hoax

Perhaps if we all lived in a complete information vacuum, with no rights/freedoms, no internet, no outside access, decades of horrendous education, with brutal penalties for leaving the country, force-fed alternative history for 75 years, then it's possible a significant amount of us could be brainwashed.

But we don't, so a point like that is completely moot.

It's further contradicted by the fact that 10's of thousands of North Koreas have taken immense risks to escape the country over the years, and we know from them that despite the brainwashing, many were aware of the facts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,419 ✭✭✭Markus Antonius

You've written many times that you believe space travel doesn't exist and everyone has been fooled about it. Such a belief requires that millions of people keep a secret over decades, which is the subject of this thread.

It simply doesn't. The first post addresses this misconception with abundance. If you can't acknowledge that only a small number of people need to be privy to certain info to sustain deception/trade secret/salary info/criminal rings (a fact that can and has been demonstrated in countless ways) then it is pointless having any discussion with you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,386 ✭✭✭✭Dohnjoe

    To break this down:

    1. You believe that all of human-powered space flight is faked
    2. You also conveniently believe only a few people need "to know" to maintain a conspiracy of that magnitude

If someone can believe something so extreme, it follows they can validate it with extreme rationalisations.

In this case, your rationalisation is that to fake the entirety of satellite TV, GPS, thousands of space launches across multiple countries, all international space travel and landings and probes, thousands of hours for footage of it all, over 70 years, only requires a handful of people.

Which is nonsensical of course, like the theory itself.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,419 ✭✭✭Markus Antonius

Do you have a copy/paste repository where you just pull the same snippets from and paste them over and over? Or do you type it all out? Please elevate the standard of debate, if not least for your own sake.

This level of fakery that you think is required for TV/GPS/Space Launches is only necessary if you are completely oblivious to how these things actually work.

  • Subscribers Posts: 42,004 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

    How they actually work??

Are you claiming to be a rocket scientist now Markus? Because that would be beautifully ironic.

    Sure.

Taking just one example. Space footage according to you is faked/CGI. A modern film, with easily identifiable CGI can involve hundreds of of VFX and special effects artists. There are thousands of hours of space footage, including countless hours before CGI ever existed. If it's all "CGI/fake" according to your views, then over 7 decades that would involve the covert work of thousands and thousands of VFX artists and special effects artists, and that most of these people so comically dumb they were unaware of what they were doing in their careers.

That's a tiny drop in the ocean of people required to "fake" all space travel and communications and GPS.

Being able to invent a rationalisation doesn't make your theory any more real. Anyone can do that all day, e.g. these are just "outsourced people" from poor countries who do what they are told, these are people who have their families threatened if they ever reveal it, It's generic footage so it's easy to replicate, I once saw a graphical glitch in some ISS footage so that clearly means it's all fake, next!, it's not made for the cinema so CGI is much easier. And so on.

So are all TV technicians who install satellite dishes on your houses oblivious?

Are all employees of Garmin oblivious to how GPS works.

Are all airline pilots oblivious to how to create their flight plans?

Are all telecoms engineers oblivious, all meteorologists, all sailors, all science teachers, all secondary school children, all people with a telescope, all people who have ever looked up at the night sky?

There is a million and one very basic observations that anyone can do which quite simply show that your idea of a flat earth and no space travel or satellites is completely nonsense.

It scares me that you know and understand this viewpoint but continue to subscribe to the most outrageous and inexplicable mainstream narrative.

I know you have no intention of listening, but you do realise that 99.99999% of the footage there is literally nothing going on? Take the videos I posted before, with those claiming they are filming the impossible scenario of a football field sized object, 400km away flying at 20,000+km/hr, flying between the observer and the moon and for so many online claiming they have filmed this. Most of the time there are only a few seconds in each clip that need CGI alteration. One person is all that is needed to do this. They don't even need CGI, just plain old strategic video editing is all that is needed:

Tell me how many thousands of CGI technicians would it take to fake the above?

You can get a camera yourself, head outside, look up at the moon and after checking online for the transit in your location you can take a picture yourself.

To prove it's not just someone with a model on a long stick in your neighbours garden playing tricks on you, you don't tell anyone when you are planning to view the transit. And you can also phone a friend in another location a few hundred miles away and get them to view the transit as well which will prove it's not a secret plane flying over just your back garden.

When you've looked up at the sky, then come back to us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,386 ✭✭✭✭Dohnjoe

but you do realise that 99.99999% of the footage there is literally nothing going on?

    Here's a multi-hour spacewalk, it's an 8 hour video total

Cinema movies struggle at 28 FPS to keep stuff looking real but here's over 3 hours of Crew2 arriving 2 years ago, 60 FPS HD footage. 11 astronauts floating over each other.

Take the videos I posted before, with those claiming they are filming the impossible scenario of a football field sized object, 400km away flying at 20,000+km/hr, flying between the observer and the moon and for so many online claiming they have filmed this.

They have filmed it, it moves fairly fast but can be captured. You can film it with a decent camera. Again, for the umpteenth time, on a clear night it can be seen with the naked eye.

Thanks for proving my point that there is absolutely nothing happening for 99% of those videos. Those "Space Walks" as they call them are clearly shot in pools with the backdrop (or what little we see of it) simply greenscreened in like how the weatherman did it in the 80s. No special CGI. No thousands of conspirators sweating it out, desperate to keep the deception going. All very basic and simple.

Got a good laugh out of the first video on flicking back to mission control, all the clear Masonic symbology baked into the mission posters on the walls 😂

If I had to break down the entire population it would be like this (my own estimation):

-People who don't know, don't want to know, not interested in space flight/NASA etc or conspiracy theories and just want to get on with their lives: 90%

-People who are fans of NASA or interested in space but are oblivious to the details of the deception (or are simply children): 5%

-People who know, are questioning or are Freemasons: 4%

-People who are given all the details of the deception but ignore it and choose to believe everything about the fantasy they are told: 1%

It is the last cohort here, the 1%, who will be the butt of all the jokes in 10, 15, 20 years when the NASA fraud is finally exposed! 😂
