Have any of you lads ever exported a firearm from France? What was your experience like dealing with the French beauracratic system and licensing system to get an export permit?Did you have many problems or have contact of a dealer who helped you out ?

Any info would be much appreciated

    Thanks

I've tried on numerous occasions to import stuff from France, relating to work etc. Have always found it difficult. Contact a German or Dutch company for the same type of stuff, and no problem.

The fact that no one has mentioned a good french website on here, for stuff, sayes a lot .

Would love to be able to order direct from France.

I've had no problems with this French supplier for basic stuff, I've never bought firearms from them so can't comment on that.

Might be worth an email to them and inquiring about their procedures.

    Just my tuppence worth.

While I have never tried dealing with the French, in relation to firearms, I've had other commercial dealings with them, and found them absolutely painful to try and deal with. Going forward, I'll be avoiding them like the plague...

    Thanks,

    G.

You can throw French speaking Belgians into that pot as well.

Was in the process of getting 2 guns imported from France last year, but had to abandon the whole process due to the time it would have taken and no guarantee of the french authorities ever releasing the guns. Delay after delay after delay.

    Best advice look elsewhere.

Only for the fact that the UK Gun dealer I was getting this via had the guns stored in France , I never would have bothered.
