UK battles to reverse EU endorsement of ‘Islas Malvinas’ name

I would like the EU to also endorse a less politically loaded term than the "British Isles" for Ireland and Britain. I suggest the French Archipelago as a more neutral term which I fully expect the Brits to get on board with.

Probably related to EU-Mercosur trade negotiations.

If Argentina/mercosur want it then sure, why not.

The EU's bread is well buttered on the mercosur side, if/when the deal can finally be signed off.

Although seeing as Britain are no longer part of the EU they can't really complain about anything the EU does it does show once again how incredibly childish the European Union are.They can't seem to stand the idea of a country that doesn't want to be part of it so deliberately needle them when really there is no need they could easily have chosen more politically neutral language to keep everyone happy.Some of the Eurocrat's threatened to remove english as an EU language which was obviously a stupid thing considering it is spoken widely across to bloc and is an official language in some countries in the EU.

The brits are very childish towards the EU but the EU itself has proven how childish they are aswell.

Its funny really. We're here speaking in whats considered to be one of the global languages (due to colonization), about an internal document which doesnt even concern the UK.

And the Brits are complaining about people having the audacity to speak among themselves in non-UK approved language, even though the location in question was originally known as les malouines (since 1764. No earlier name.), which quite naturally becomes las malvinas in Spanish.

Because to do so could be constued by the worlds most prolific colonizers as being in some way colonial.
