    Just watched Andy Cruz's debut.

    The guy is an artist!

He just went 10 brisk rounds against a renowned tough nut and made it look so easy.

He is so skilled, so quick, so hard to hit, has such beautiful judge of distance and a superb jab.

I don't think he's a big puncher, so it's inevitable you'll get the usual complaints, but watching this guy is a pleasure.

They're moving him fast and I won't be surprised if they believe he can take on the elite at lightweight within 18 months or so.

    Personally, I can't wait.

Inoue vs Fulton next Tuesday from Japan.

Top class fight, live on Sky I believe.

No chat on a huge WW unification this weekend...

I'll go with Bud Crawford via close points win....

It's on TNT PPV (formerly BT Sports)

    Edit: July 29

That not on next weekend? I did fancy Spence but it took him a long long time to agree to the fight which is never a great sign. Hoping for Spence but could see Bud with a 9/10 round stoppage.

Yes. July 29. No idea why I was thinking this weekend was July 29

Kambosos a very, very, lucky boy against Maxi Hughes.

    117-111 needs investigating.

Hughes very hard done by. Unlucky as well with the head clash. I think that was worth 2 rounds to Kambosos

    Fulton v Inoue shortly

Nice stoppage for Robeisy Ramirez on the undercard what do you make of him at pro level?

Yes, looked proper pro alright. He’s not a puncher, but is generating pro power punching. Sitting down in his shots. Good variation. Still beaten nobody (apart from Dogboe) yet, so until he proper steps up we can’t know.

put it this way: I reckon B- Leigh Wood could do a number on him

FULTON'S 0 HAS GOT TO GO!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,144 ✭✭✭✭Rjd2

Yeah Fulton has maybe won one round ? And that is been kind, he needs to spark him him out to have any chance so yeah up against it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,600 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Inoue is so clinical and clean and heavy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,342 ✭✭✭Bobby Baccala

Lovely right by Fulton looked like it wobbled Inoue for a second

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,600 ✭✭✭✭walshb

    Killer!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,342 ✭✭✭Bobby Baccala

**** hell how did he get up from that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,393 ✭✭✭megadodge

    Inoue is class!!!

In my opinion, the no. 1 p4p fighter in the world.

The only one who comes close is Crawford.

    He really is that good.

    Inoue is a special fighter.

    Top class but respectful also.

Inoue is p4p number 1. I rate Fulton highly and Inoue was levels above. A genuine HOF level fighter. I wouldn't know all the history but surely Japan's greatest ever at this point.

I actually think Inoue could go up to FW and win another title. But I hope he fights Tapales next and becomes undisputed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,600 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Inoue isn’t small, but isn’t big either. FW the lads seems big, clearly bigger than Inoue. And really, despite his boxing neatness and punching, he will have to taste FW power. Not sure how his own power will be against say Wood or Lopez.. although Wood appears a bit chinny.

Any replay of Inoue fight lads?

Edit: have it on YouTube there

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,875 ✭✭✭squinn2912

That was an absolute masterclass. Was the second hit a legitimate one after the one that stunned Fulton? Brave man to get up like that think the ref should have told him no, he didn’t know where he was

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,459 ✭✭✭Dick phelan

True but the disparity in skill level between Inoue and Wood is vast. I'd pick Inoue to beat him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,600 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Yes. I get that . But sometimes it’s really just punching, and not overly to do with all around talents and skills. Woods be probably 136-138 lbs on fight night.

I’d probably make Inoue a slight favorite, but I really think he’s close to his max weight now where his natural power is such a benefit.

There is an Insta video (toprank and espnringside) of the follow up left hook and it lands clean and hard. You can’t really see/appreciate it from the tv feed

I thought Fulton’s hand or hands touched the canvass? Does that make any difference? No change to the outcome I’m just curious. Reminded me a bit of the wallop Povetkin hit Price with. Almost cruel to have to watch it.
