And they have Astrobot Rescue Mission for 6 euro.

So about 60/70 euro all in (old psvr model) to play Astrobot. Bargain.

Note: you need a ps4 controller to play Astro. Dont need move controllers.

Don't know how they haven't announced Rescue Mission for PSVR2 yet.

One of my favourite games ever.

Can't be that hard to move it over.

A remaster would be very nice indeed.

Could PSVR2 track a dualsense same way PSVR tracks the front light of dualshock 4? A lot of mechanics in Rescue Mission use that front light.

For that reason, I don't think it would work. They'd have to implement a new control scheme using the Sense controllers, but shouldn't be too hard for someone already making VR games! Says the lad with no idea how hard it is... Maybe they're holding off for a new Rescue Mission and include the first with it. That'd be awesome! And make Playroom VR!

I reckon Rescue Mission sequel would sell boatloads of PSVR2s.

Never thought of Playroom. Singing the SSD song as you hand glide the speedway in VR 😍.

I've been playing Blood & truth the past couple nights. Really good game.

Think will take a break from VR again after I finish it.

Hadn't played in ages but picked up two really great games. Cities Skylines VR, if you like the city builders then this is a great way to play it. You can get down to road level and "walk" around your city.

The other is Synapse. This is really good. The eye tracking is amazing. In the tutorial they have three boxes in a line. You Just look at one with your eyes and you can pull L2 to grab it and then toss it. Closest thing to being a super hero/ jedi I've experienced. Shooting is good too. But I got pretty motion sick after 30 mins. It can get pretty fast.

In general for the games on this can you play them sitting down or do you need a space to walk around?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,019 ✭✭✭✭duploelabs

I don't have the available required space for the walk around, but I don't think I'm missing out on anything

    Synth Riders psvr2 discounted further.

    40% off. 15 euro.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,625 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

Waiting for a big discount on the complete pack before I get it. I'd be willing to fork out €30 for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,671 ✭✭✭jj880

The 100 euro pack? That would be a nice discount for sure.

A few PSVR2 games in the latest sale, Air Guitar peaked my interest at €10, anyone tried it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 333 ✭✭MikeRyan87

Opinions on Drums Rock...down to 14e.

Would've preferred if Rangarok went on sale instead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,625 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

Tried the demo of Drums Rock, it's ok. I think like Ragnarock it'll get too similar too quick. Ragnarock is great craic, for a while. It just doesn't have the same draw as Beat Saber, albeit both will leave you sweaty. Better music than BS though. Missing the kickdrum in Drums Rock though, as someone who has played the drums before it feels weird without it.

    psvr2_radtv.jpg

Looks like Sony have done a deal with this Rad TV crowd again. Locking watching your own content behind a monthly sub (this was how it was for 3d bluray rips with PS5+PSVR).

Very disappointing carry on unless there is another way to watch your own content on PSVR2 Im not aware of.

That looks pretty cool, and I'd imagine extremely useful to medical students!

I'd really like more of this kind of content for vr. There's potential there for the headset so why not exploit it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,625 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

100%, but it won't be VR, it'll be AR. It's taking longer than expected, but this is the best use of this technology imo. And it's these kinds of things that I want in VR, something you can't really experience on a flat screen. I find most VR games are normal games put in VR, i'm looking for something unique. Gimme Rescue Mission 2 already!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,019 ✭✭✭✭duploelabs

Can't see AR working if the external cameras are just black and white

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,625 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

Oh, I didn't mean right now. In the future, near enough future imo, it'll be all AR. We'll need to buy the PSAR1 once it releases! :)

So I see Bulletstorm is getting a VR release soon. Looks quite fun, and I did enjoy pkaying it originally. Some new content, but can free roam like usual, not a rail shooter... except for the rail shooter bits, which aren't many. Some of the setpieces will be unreal in VR, ie: the giant death wheel chase and controlling Robozilla!

Down to 75 euro so could be a while before a bigger discount.

Ive done enough harping on in the Bargains thread about Turkey PSN so will only make 1 post here as it's such a big discount.

Synth Riders Complete Music Collection is 21.60 in Turkey. No VPN needed for game purchases.

What recommendations do folk have for racing wheel and chair combos for playing GT in VR on PSVR2 ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,019 ✭✭✭✭duploelabs

Playseat challenge and a G29 logitech wheel and pedals would be a great starter kit

Wondering, is it possible to use the PSVR2 without a TV attached to the PS5?

I'd like to setup the PSVR2 in my living room, but not attached to the TV.

Perhaps you need a TV for initial setup, but after that can I unplug it and put the PS5 in a corner somewhere?
