    1. What is your budget?

About €2000 but can stretch it a bit if it makes sense.

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer?

General browsing and gaming at 60 frames per second. Not going for a high refresh panel at the moment.

Current Games: Red Dead 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, F1 23

Planned Games: Starfield, Spiderman, The Last of Us

Game Types: Pretty much anything but Competitive FPS.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer?

    2 x 4TB Samsung Evo 970 drives

    1 x 1TB NVME boot drive

    4K 60HZ Samsung monitor

Logitech G915KB and 502 Hero mouse

    5. Do you need a monitor? Nope, I have a 28" 4k monitor with a 60hz.

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes but not pushed. I never did get around to overclocking my current build.

Might as go with the best gaming CPU (7800X3D) to avoid any potential bottlenecks/hitching in future.

RX 6800 with its 16GB VRAM buffer should do grand in any console port at 60fps.

RTX 4070 (€609+) also worth a gander. Only 12GB VRAM but access to DLSS/Frame-Gen.

    Worth looking at the 6800xt (https://amzn.eu/d/161LDWk) and 6950xt (https://amzn.eu/d/c8vpcpJ)

    • Both are being sold by NR INFO, not Amazon. So I'd be wary of the condition they were in.
    • Both those GPUs have higher power draw/spikes than the 6800 which is why I'm wary of recommending them now.

Fair point, I'm iffy on nr info myself but it seems plenty of people are happy with them, and if he's looking for a stable 60 4k he should go with the 6800xt at least imo with how much more demanding/badly optimised games are getting,

worth noting I emailed me info regarding the starfield promotion and they are sending keys.

I'm gonna go the opposite here and say that for a 4K60 build you should absolutely not be blowing almost €500 on the CPU.

A Ryzen 7600 build is more than enough and can always be upgraded in future if needed, but the 7600 will push 4K60 in its sleep.

In fact a Ryzen 5800X3D build also an option would cost less and also push 4K60 without breaking even the slightest sweat.

Focus here should be GPU. The budget is plenty for either of the above CPU options plus an RX7900XT card with change left over.

Wouldn't touch any of the Nvidia cards crippled by ridiculously low VRAM for a brand new build.
