New wedge different to irons

I'm looking to pick up a 50 (maybe) and 58 degree wedge.

My irons are Ping G10s, I have the PW (46) and the SW (54). The G10s do have a 50 and 58 option, but this set is so old I don't think it's worth the hassle of trying to source these individual clubs.

I'm looking at the Cleveland CBX, they seem geared toward higher handicappers who have irons like mine.

The thing I'm curious about is my irons are 1" longer shafts with the white dot. Specialist wedges don't appear to come with shaft options (or at least, I can't see the options on McGuirks or Halpenny).

Is this likely to be a problem with the inconsistent shaft length?

How do other people handle this? I see loads of people with Vokey wedges etc, do they just all play with standard length wedges irrespective of their iron fitting, or do they go somewhere to get their wedges custom fitted as well?

If the 1" longer works for you in the other clubs, I'd be inclined to stick with it tbh. An inch is a pretty significant difference. Just having a look on McGuirks there though, and shaft length is definitely an option on the Vokeys and some of the newer Clevelands - you need to click the "Custom" tab beside where you'd select loft etc.

Alternatively it probably wouldn't be too big a deal to get a pro to put a new steel shaft in if you bought off the rack and wanted/needed it.

You can do custom on the Cleveland RBX but not the CBX (which are the cavity back ones designed for higher handicappers). ☹️

Ahh right, didn't notice that. I'd get the CBX2 on special offer and get someone to stick a 1" longer shaft in it.

A club pro will extend it by an inch for you. No need for a new shaft. They have extension pieces that fit into existing shaft.

If handy you could even do it yourself. Might need to buy a new grip. But would still be a fraction of the cost of buying a new shaft.
