If you like puzzles, and I remember you were asking about consoles before, Nintendo Switch + Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is full of them. Watch a few non spoiler reviews to see if you'd be interested.

India sending a rocket to the moon while millions of its people starve and have no health care

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,739 ✭✭✭It wasnt me123

This +1. It’s disgusting that they don’t have basic infrastructure like housing, health care, education and a very unequal caste system but have the millions it takes to fly a rocket. I have a feeling India are recipients from global handouts and there should be conditions on receiving global help like spending it on making your citizens lives more positive and conflict free.

I drove through a bit of Dublin today, around the port, the north quays, port tunnel and m50. Lots of buses and trucks.

The single loudest vehicle i encountered all day was when I got home, in a residential area, a shtibox rusted up 2001 golf that sounded like it was attempting hyper speed with no oil.

    BLLLEEEEEERGGGGHHH boooooo BLEEEERRRRGHHHH booooo.

    Gimps.

When you hear people talking about all these celebrities and you haven't a clue who they are.

You don't know of it's a good thing or bad thing.

Awake since before 5 again. Seriously, someone just put me out of my misery. Not a jury in the land would convict you.

Have a dinner with some family later, an ‘occasion’ …with one who is a bit of a drama llama, I’m not in the mood for them…..their usual routine….

“ I wonder can we sit somewhere else, bit of a draft here “ - he’s the only one who notices anything …

the waiter when taking his order has to go through about 18 questions from said family member as to the cooking of the food, sauces….separate / on the dish, strengths of flavour etc… me & everyone else….”veg soup, whiskey burger done medium, extra sauce , with X drink please, thank you very much”. That easy…. So it’s 🤷‍♂️. 15 seconds from engagement they have my order and everyone’s order goes the same…. But the questions from this one, the menu is plenty informative 🙈 but probably 2 to 3 minutes just to order two courses and a drink..and whatever other palaver.

These new make your big arse even bigger leggings. Out today and young one wearing a pair that were skin tone. Had to do a double take. Most sane women are trying to make their arses look smaller.

I haven't been to many countries but I make a concerted effort to learn some little bit of language and tradition/custom.. I cannot imagine just land somewhere and being a prick because people in another country understand the local language but not yours. Eff me there's even google translate available

One of my Restaurant TAs 'whats the soup of the day?'. ",Its vegetable". It's always fking vegetable, everywhere. Never Carrot or Tomato, or Mushroom, or Minestrone, or Mulligatawny or Roast Red pepper. No. Vegetable. The unused cooked vegetable sides orders go into the blender. Then into tureen. Restaurants: Shove your 'vegetable' soup up your hole.

i missed a phone call from a government agency about 10 days ago that I’m waiting 5 and a half months for…I was expecting a long wait as I was informed of it…(up to 6 months I was told )

ive called the number back three times since but no answer…just rings out no voicemail..

its a fact of life that people occasionally physically cannot answer phones….they might be driving, at a medical appointment, don’t hear a phone ringing, in the bathroom, whatever….life

any business I’ve ever worked for and in a situation I needed to contact a person, I’d make 3 attempts before I’d mark it unresolved and move on… there was no voicemail left by the caller with a direct line or anything…missed call, nothing since..

a perfect example of the inefficiency of our public services and ‘commitment’ to serving the public that they cannot be arsed leaving a voicemail or making a second phone call an hour later, or the following day.

High function alcoholics' looking down their nose on normal functioning alcoholics. Who do they think they are?

I was a television version of a person with a broken heart...

I was a passenger in a car looking out my side window on the M50 when we passed a driver with both hands off the steering wheel and looking down texting on his phone. I don't really care if idiots like that don't give a damn about their own safety, but it annoys me that they are risking the safety of people around them.

Leaving cert students whining about grade inflation, accommodation, not getting their chosen course, everything being unfair. Listen bitches, life is unfair. Suck it up buttercups. Mummy and Daddy can't always kiss it better.

Accommodation availability is really pretty bad though, and not only students. It's a crazy situation. We have dug a really stupid hole for ourselves in this country.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,167 ✭✭✭✭whisky_galore

It is, but perhaps the Mummies and Daddies all over the country shouldn't have got their TDs to have that housing near them stopped. When your kids can't find somewhere to stay for "uni" and are still hanging around at home into their 20s and 30s...well then.

Agree and have said this on other threads. People love having house prices shoot up until they realise little Mary or Johnnie has to live in a tent or sleep in a car.

Not just mummies and daddies, that great Marxist Socialist champion of the people, **** Fein, objects to every single private housing development, on PRINCIPLE, as it offends their communist aspirations. They want ALL housing to be built by local authorities, funded by the tax of private property owners naturally, costing probably over a million per unit, and of course allocated to their cronies and constituents.

Serial protestations, levies and red tape now mean that a builder, even a self builder, must pay out the nearly cost of the entire major house materials before a brick is bought or laid.
