Seems madness to be axing Utd assets before a home game against Forrest but here I am with Rashford on the block. 2FTs and looking at him to Mbuemo ... maybe upgrade my bench fodder to this Semenyo lad who seems a decent 4.5 option.

    Somebody out

    Somebody in

Foden back in maybe….. City have an excellent run.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,497 ✭✭✭macraignil

Gone with Salah and Mubama out with my two free transfers and brought in Mbeumo and Isak. Leaves me with 2.8mill in the bank to upgrade someone next week.

2 fts and lots of options. Want another look at Jackson today, Chelsea's run looks too good to miss out on. May ditch Rashford for Mbeumo/Mitoma to fund Pedro to Jackson.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,592 ✭✭✭patmac

Have Rashford and Bruno but United could haul against Forest also need rid of Wilson, so will check out Jackson today.

Gonna give my United asses (not a typo) another week. I might just bank

Also want to have a look at Jackson, but while I'm at it gonna try some more of Watkins. Watkins is who I currently have and that's a swap that would have to be done, if it is Jackson coming in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,638 ✭✭✭caviardreams

Gusto in possibly given James' injury - for shaw

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,665 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Think I'm going to limit my interest in Chelsea to just Chilwell until we see if they can actually score goals. Jackson looks lively alright but that doesn't get you points. Looks like he's prone to silly bookings too. I'd rather get Alvarez despite the Pep rotation risk.

Have 2 x FTs. Need word on this Maddison knock before deciding anything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,838 ✭✭✭✭dahat

As good as he looks his problem is actually scoring goals.

2 FT and a few potential fires to manage...

Went with Salah and Gakpo...so one if not both are on the chopping block...Salah more to free up funds than anything else.

Also have Bruno.... didn't feel right at the time and it feels worse now

Kulu...had Spurs FOMO but need to figure out what Kulu is doing first before I make a decision

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,001 ✭✭✭✭2nd Row Donkey

    My team is a mess.

Raya is my main keeper. Reece James, Stones and Baldock all injured

McAllister -2, 3 game ban incoming. Salah and Enzo both missed penalties, Rashford needs to go.

Had Pedro on bench last week and left points on bench. Started him this week and missed out on 11 points from wissa.

Raya, Stones, James, Enzo, Rashford and McAllister. 6 out.

Can't see any way out but an early wildcard which I haven't done in 5 or 6 years.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,315 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

    Gakpo out.

Jackson was always the transfer in but not so sure.

Think I’ll chance it for Luton anyway with a long term look at Isak. Alvarez is tempting though - but does he start…

    May bank the other FT.

Rashford, maybe even Fernandes on the chopping block. Regret not starting with Mbeumo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,936 ✭✭✭AdpRo

    Pickford out

Flekken / Areola / Sanchez in, actually anyone in over Pickford, can’t believe I picked him as my main keeper.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,665 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Tbf I think most of us expected some sort of defensive improvement from Everton but they've picked up where they left off last season.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,719 ✭✭✭dr.kenneth noisewater

2FT so will Salah to Maddison/Mbeumbo and upgrade Archer to Wissa/Isak which will give me cash in the bank for future transfers also. Although if Gabriel doesnt start again tonight all those plans might change!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,843 ✭✭✭MacDanger

Will probably take a -4 to get rid of Gakpo & MacAllister, maybe even a -8 to dump Tarkowski as well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,450 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Still not overly critical of my team, Salah and Rashford have been slow starters but not sure I want to can them just yet. Highlights for the weekend for me were...

Foden - looks like he might get the KDB role while he's injured, could have had a few assists Sat night in a tough fixture

Sterling - absolutely electric against WH, looked back to prime Raz

JWP - as expected, gonna be the main man for WH, a set piece specialist in a set piece team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Gabriel has raced into the lead in the first transfer out race.

Too expensive to be picking up 0 or 1 points.

  • Posts: 13,688 ✭✭✭✭ Noel Magnificent Vandal

Eze instead of Mitoma before the season started was a criminal decision.

Is Gabriel to Saliba almost too obvious a move?

Gakpo out for Alvarez also under consideration.

And I may look at Tarkowski out for Inanimate Carbon Rod also

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,665 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Gabriel should start against Fulham now that Zinchenko is back fit. Having an Everton defender is probably the more urgent issue!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,815 ✭✭✭bantee

2 FTs so thinking Gabriel & Pedro to Henry & Nketiah, or else just the Gabriel transfer and roll the other. Too many transfer rumours and uncertainty around him, plus I still don't think he's nailed to start the next game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,450 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Gabriel to Saliba is a move to make long term, but you might be fine for a week with Tomiyasu suspended.

Tarkowski to one of the cheap Chelsea defenders looks a decent move in the short term

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,315 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

Done Gakpo to Jackson before price rises/drops.

Have 1 more FT but I think I'll wait as I can bench Gabriel this week starting Chilwell, Colwill & Pervis.

Rather the 2 transfers in GW4 to bring in potentially Foden, Mbeumo or Maddison. Tripper in for Gabriel GW5, hope he doesn't drop too much.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,719 ✭✭✭dr.kenneth noisewater

Might do Gabriel to Gusto, hard to ignore those Chelsea fixtures. Leaves me 1M to upgrade my 3rd striker or 5th MF

Other option could be Salah to Maddison/Mbuemo and Gabriel to Chilwell

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,465 Mod ✭✭✭✭F1ngers

    Have 2 FTs.

Think Gabriel is ok for next week with Tomiyasu/Wilder out.

Salah to Diaz, free up funds and bank the 2nd.

    Will assess Gabriel next week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,739 ✭✭✭mobydopy

Did Gabriel to Walker last night before the price rise.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,450 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Happy enough to hold again this week, looks a big fixture swing after this week so will give Salah, Rashford etc another week before they go on the trade block.

Probably move one of my fodder this week rather than burning a transfer, Kabore to Gusto the most likely with Chelseas fixtures, or else Muamba to Semenyo

Fire after fire to put out. Chukwuemeka who was gonna slot in this GW for me is now out for 6 weeks.

Add him to the list with Gabriel, Maddison (may miss weekend), Pedro and Osula. A -8 could be needed to sort out this mess.

Price drops incoming got Gabriel also so might need to move now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Gabriel close to dropping in point. Might have to move swiftly tonight to avoid pricing myself out of a move.

To dance with Pep's roulette or not.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,077 ✭✭✭shmeee

What do we do with Gabriel. Surely he has a better chance than any to start this GW due to injury to timber and Tomi suspension. Would mean a change of formation for Arsenal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

    Even if he does start, how confident are we of CS's? I'm just gonna put in my predictions here;

    GW3: Fulham (h) ✅

    GW4: Man Utd (h) ❌

    GW5: Everton (a) ✅

    CL

    GW6: Spurs (h) ❌

    GW7: Bournemouth (a) ❌

    CL

    GW8: Man City (h) ❌

    GW9: Chelsea (a) ❌

    CL

I could be wrong on the above, especially Bournemouth but they have shown that they are not afraid to throw a punch at the bigger club. Man Utd have not exactly been proficient in front of goal this season yet so that could be a clean sheet too.

In comparison, Man City have a fixture list like this.

    GW3: Sheff Utd(a) ✅

    GW4: Fulham (h) ✅

    GW5: West Ham (a) ❌

    CL

    GW6: Forest (h) ✅

    GW7: wolves (a) ✅

    CL

    GW8: Arsenal (a) ❌

    GW9: Brighton (h) ❌

    CL

Again, I could be wrong and there could be less. West Ham would really be set piece threat.

It's double the number of CSs I think, but that is before the threat of rotation.John Stones is injured for a bit and that reduced the number of available options. It's really between Akanji / Ake / Gvardiol / Walker for 2 spots. Dias is probably nailed. Walker can only play RB so he is a bit lower. Do I risk doing Gvardiol or play safer with Akanji?

A Man City DEF will lock me out of Alvarez but I do have Foden already as my Man City differential.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,077 ✭✭✭shmeee

When you have it down on paper, the city fixtures look more obvious for sure for the CS's. Here trying to work out which defender it is. Now it's Akanji I'm leading towards.... *I must love misery to move to Pep roulette.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,878 ✭✭✭Pogue eile

Gabriel and Pedro to Colwill and Jackson, Chelsea fixtures are two difficult to ignore.

Archer moving from Villa to Sheffield Utd means he'll likely get another couple weeks in my squad. Looked good for Boro last year so could be a great 3rd forward or 1st sub if he continues that form

  • Registered Users Posts: 305 ✭✭The Guru 123

Bring in Mbeumo or Foden this week for Son?

  • Registered Users Posts: 388 ✭✭Med101007

So will Gabriel play this week given the injuries that Arsenal currently have. I'm willing to give him one more week and Fulham at home looks a potential clean sheet. Have 0.0m ITB as well so can't really afford to ship him out just yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,015 ✭✭✭Mr Crispy

Apparently Maddison still hasn't trained, so I may have to use both transfers this week and revamp midfield (want rid of Salah too).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,077 ✭✭✭shmeee

And now Shaw expected to be out.

This season couldn't have started any worse as a Gabriel, James, Maddison, Shaw and Chukwuemeka owner. Will struggle to field 11 "solid" players this GW without hits.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Shaw is owned by nearly 25% of all players. That's a big whack.

I own Maddison alright but gonna hold him for now, til I know more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,077 ✭✭✭shmeee

Sure to be someone out there who started GW1 with Shaw, Stones, James, Gabriel as their back 4.

Same on Maddison, not much about on him today. Will see what we hear from press conferences tomorrow.

More knowledge is valuable in my spot at least now with fire after fire on my team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,733 ✭✭✭Cartman78

2 FT.... Gakpo to Alvarez, Gabriel to Chilwell done.

Not feeling good about those moves I have to say 😕

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,719 ✭✭✭dr.kenneth noisewater

Tempted to go Salah/Gabriel to Foden/Chilwell now with my 2FT. Feel like I need Chelsea coverage and Chilwell is the best option currently. Could also do Archer to Wissa for -4 as there's no word on his transfer being completed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭crushproof

Have Shaw and Maddison likely out.

Already taken Rashford out for Mbuemo and have a rubbish bench with total fodder so I might take a hit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

    Maddison might be fit.

I'm not sure what to do with him though. Bench or chance a start?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,077 ✭✭✭shmeee

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,665 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Hmm just goes to show how important it is to hold off on transfers. I would have sold Maddison and Pedro at the start of the week but will be holding both now. Two fts so might do James to a City defender, bench Maddison and roll the other transfer. Already lost 0.1 on James and don't really want to lose any more on him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,665 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Rashford number 9 again so more than likely. If the fixture wasn't so good, I'd be selling.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,015 ✭✭✭Mr Crispy

My bench is garbage but think I'll risk it and keep him. I'll just sell Salah for Foden and roll the other FT.
