Exterior WC Leaking Pipe. Blockage or joint?

    Hi folks.

There's a small leak in down flow WC waste pipe. (see photo).

The thing is, after flushing the loo, for about at least 5 mins, there's a barely visible hairline leak/flow of water that runs down the full length of main down flow pipe and forms a pool on the ground.

I would have thought that water would flow straight down, but it seems to be pooling at the joint and leaking out?. Or is it just a bad join in pipe?

If there is an obstruction in pipe, whats the best way to free it?

    Thanks

Hi, has the pipe previously been repaired and painted over or what's that painted-over lump thing going on?

Does the toilet flush ok or do you get gulping or see the water level drop / rise afterwards?

There has been that slow thin drip coming from that area for a while. A bodgd attempt was made to seal over the area but it made no difference. Can’t remember what sealant was used.

There’s no problems with flushing WC, clears straight away with no gulping or changes in water level, no odours. If I had to call it I’d say there’s a part obstruction in pipe where water is pooling and has found a weak spot in pipe join. But that’s an uneducated guess.

PS: I think my question is best asked: If there's a blockage at the bend, how do i clear it?
