Subwoofer advice

Hi All!

I'm looking to order a 5.1 setup soon, and have everything picked out except for the sub (and smaller bits like wiring/speaker stands, etc.)

I'm going with the Denon 2800 for the receiver, KEF 350s or 550s for the fronts, the 650 for the centre, and the 150s for the surrounds. I'm pretty happy with that.

But what I'm not sure on is the sub. It seem pretty hard to find recommondation online that aren't very American focused. Any recommended ones aren't sold here. So I was just wondering if anyone can recommend a good one here for up to £500.

The Denon 2800 is an excellent choice and paired with those KEFs will make a fantastic system.

You could add in the KEF Kube 8 which is priced at £549 (Special Order item and has a longer lead time). I could offer this at £525

You could also check out the Monitor Audio Radius 380 which is priced at a little over budget at £569 (In stock here at the store). I can offer one of these at £525 also.

There is the Dali E9F priced at £499. I can offer this at £480.00 (In stock here at the store).

For speaker cable I would recommend the QED micro which is priced at £2.50 per meter. I can drop this to £2 per meter.

For a sublink there is the standard Cambridge 7.5 meter which is priced at £20. I can offer this at £15

The Denon AVRX2800 is currently priced at £599 which is our VIP price.

The KEF Q550 are priced at £585. This is a great price on these as they retail at £849 over on our .com site. (In stock in our main warehouse but in very short supply).

Q350 priced at £549. I can offer these at £519. (In stock in our main warehouse but in very short supply).

Q650C priced at £495. The £495 is a good price as it is listed at £599 on our .com site. (In stock in our main warehouse but in very short supply).

Q150 priced at £449. I can offer these at £410. (Currently out of stock - No ETA as of yet).

Thanks for the help! That's a pity about the 150s being out of stock. I think they were just on sale for £298 but I just missed them? I guess I'll have to wait for them to come back in stock later. At least they are for the surrounds. I think what I might do is get the receiver, fronts and centre for now, with the sub and surrounds later to split costs. And since with the cost differnce, I may as well go for the 550s over the 350s. I suppose I'll probably go for 8m of QED micro cable?

So it would be:

Denon AVRX2800

KEF Q550

KEF Q650

QED micro x 8m

Is there anything else I would need?

Hey lclog.

Going for the Q550 will give a lower bass range until you can add the subwoofer. They are also a great deal at the £585.

The 2800, Q550,Q650C and 8 meters of QED Micro would come in at £1695 delivered.

I can keep my eye on the Q150 arriving in again and also if I see or hear of any more deals due to come on them.
