A woman in her 20’s has been arrested. I won’t hold my breath for any kind of punishment. I’d bet my next payslip there won’t be a jail term or a driving ban handed down even if she is found in the wrong.

Utterly sickening. When will VRU get the care they deserve.

I hope people post RIPs only and not speculate about who was right or wrong.

There'll be a chorus of "God help us" and "there for the grace of God go I" kinda chat. The driver will be then given too much sympathy and let off with a slap on the wrist with whispers of "shur it could have happened to any of us". Above all, nothing will be learned, nobody will be held responsible and road safety policy will continue to be made by the unqualified and dangerously ignitant policy wonks we tend to end up with here. Cyclists are just seen as a nuisance in this place.
