I was going to make the points that Weghorst is a fraud of a player and that hurray, Ireland haven't conceded within 10 minutes of the second half.

Never mind. Though the goal came after 11 minutes. And Weghorst is still an awful player.

Duffy is finished at the top level, both of those goals are his fault. Every other player should be rightly pissed off, the work their arses off and then he just drops for no reason. Criminal

We go on about our lack of midfield and attack but for all the talk of the options we have at the back, we are pretty poor defensively.

Change shape, go to 4 at the back. Bring Connolly on for Duffy. If nothing else this should signal the end of Duffy's Ireland career. We've enough options not to need him really.

They do only have about 5 minutes to train in these little windows, so it's not like they can really work out too intricate tactics - and whatever plans you have pretty much fall apart when you have a lad like Idah who needs to take an age to get his head up and figure out where he is and what's going on.

If he steps up then we’re still 1-0 up here. The goals could have been avoided if he trusted his line and kept with them but he didn’t. It’s not the first time this has happened either.
