Kyle Fuller's ACL tear was against the Jets also.

Eddie Jackson's season ended after fracturing his lisfranc playing there last October/November.

Probably many more examples. Lots of players have complained about it.

I think it's three fumbles and Hurts interception, Martinson one of the fumbles , in the first quarter. 3-0 Eagles.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,212 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

    Apologies about that. 😁

Ah, I hope you put some NFL updates in the Vuelta thread as well.

    ***

Just sped through the game over breakfast. For the second week the Eagles could and probably should have lost but got it done.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,532 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Yes not blowing the doors off any team yet but there’s no pictures in the standings. The eagles are 2-0.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,212 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Well those highlights didn't paint the whole picture obviously.

Eagles should have won by a lot more on my viewing of the whole game last night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,576 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

Whole game watched, but in speed mode! Meh, you are probably right thinking back on it. I let my moderate dislike of the Eagles colour my viewing sometimes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,212 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

I get that. I've many times felt after games that the officials screwed the Patriots out of the win with bad calls when the other team were the reason for the defeat. 😁

Good spot... I can see scanning ahead that Sky Sports Mix will also be showing the Monday Night game Los Angeles Rams @ Cincinnati Bengals on the 25th.

I don't remember them doing this last year,

    BBC article interviewing Dan Whelan...

"Irishman thrilled by start to NFL career after Green Bay Packers debut."

Browns RB Nick Chubb out for the season (bits of talk that it's a potential career-ender not just a season-ender).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,532 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Having seen the way his knee bent, I wouldn’t be thinking about this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,532 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

The bears defensive coordinator has resigned earlier today acccording to Ian rapppaport.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,212 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Apparently he's not in great health and is stepping away to deal with it.

You'd think it is but with how fast the front seven are getting to the QB it isn't as bad for them this season to this point.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,212 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Deebo the star of the show tonight, just caught his TD to go with his 129 receiving yards. He only has 2 rushing yards.

Anthony Richardson is out for Indy on Sunday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,532 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

And the patriot if they lose on Sunday will go 0-3 for the first time since 2000 which is why I don’t see it happening as I cant see Bill Belichick allowing that to happen if he can help it. It’s only happened once.

Lucky they wont be facing Rodgers or I'd say they'd be breaking that streak whether Bill wanted to allow it or not.

I dont see it being possible they lose to Wilson having time to prepare - if they do it would have to be seen as one of the lowest points in Bill's career

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,532 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Well the jets and patriots was scheduled to the 6pm game on sky sports this week but they put a poll up and asked people what game would replace it.

well probably would be a low point seeing as it’s only happened once as I said and that was in the first season under him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,212 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Bill concentrates on what part of an offense needs to be stopped to give his team the best chance to win. This one is simple, stop the run and it's very likely you win.

Chiefs stopped the run and the Jets scored ten points. Bills didn't stop the run and the Jets scored 22.

Week 3 TV Games. Note some TV listings/epg still have Patriots at Jets in the 6pm slot, but that has been dropped by Sky.

    Sunday

Bears at Chiefs. 9.20pm Sky Sports

    Sunday night/Monday am

Steelers at Raiders. 01:20 Sky Sports

    Monday night/Tuesday am

Eagles at Buccaneers. 00:20 Sky Sports

Rams at Bengals. 01:20 Channel 5 UK and Sky Sports Mix

Handy game for the Bears this evening!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,532 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Zack Wilson isn’t the answer for the jets.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,532 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

The Denver broncos are a disgrace to the term professional football

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,198 ✭✭✭✭Pherekydes

When's the last time someone scored 70? And two players scored 4TD each?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,532 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

The last team I think was the then redskins in 1966 when they scored 72.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,106 ✭✭✭Christy42

I am not sure I have seen quite so many lobsided games.

5/14 games were within one score.

Also Cousins on pace for 6K yards, 51 TDs and 0-17 is ridiculous.

Three games into the regular season. The Ravens have to be cursed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,212 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

When you see the Dolphins scoring 70 points that scenario seems quite plausible. 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,576 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

To be 28-7 up and manage to lose a game is somehow even more humiliating than to just get a hammering. What a **** team, coaches, and management they've assembled

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,532 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

The eagles go to 4-0 but **** it it was an ugly game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,212 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Great teams find a way to win in those type of games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,899 ✭✭✭Paddy@CIRL

Pleasantly surprised with the Ravens' performance against the #1 defence in the league in Cleveland, and a good bounce back from last week's loss to the Colts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,223 ✭✭✭Guffy

Tbf when Watson was ruled out there was very little doubt of the result

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,899 ✭✭✭Paddy@CIRL

It was definitely made easier, but the Ravens have a lot of injuries, were so blunt and mistake prone last week, it was anything but a given.

It's mad that Lamar had less than 200 passing yards and only 27 rushing yards and managed two passing and two rushing TDs.

It's like everything just went their way.

Bills Jags pretty boring for the most part, it's been crazy for the last few minutes.

At some point the training methods/medical staff have to come under scrutiny. Our injury record is abysmal every season.

  • Posts: 13,688 ✭✭✭✭ Jeremy Thoughtless Photocopier

Once upon a time, Ravens vs Steelers would have been prime time.

    Jags hang on

I don't care how long you're out or how much you've been able to practice, Rashod Bateman has to catch that.

  • Posts: 13,688 ✭✭✭✭ Jeremy Thoughtless Photocopier

    Harbaugh has to go.

His position is untenable. Disgraceful coaching over many seasons.

Everything has changed around him but we're still horrendous.

Good fast start to this Rams/Eagles match
