Always thought there was something a bit odd about Rod Hulls emu.

Has he not already written about he used to be a serious drug user and also a creep? It won't be much of a shocker if it was him unless they've gotten hold of something much more damaging.

Dispatches isn't known for its tabloid journalism but I still worry that it's going to disclose those who dabbled with drugs and sex workers (grim but whatever...) alongside with those for very serious allegations.

All I got from that video is that Russell Brand thinks it's him, but it's only him because he's so brilliant and insightful and because they're trying to shut him up. Strange use of the word baroque too.

If it's is/not him and they do shut him up, great. Like JP, he has a lot of words and likes to put them together in new and confusing ways that bamboozle the dim into thinking he's a great intellectual. He's not.

Brand has categorically stated that he's one of the subjects, it's not idle speculation. He said he received a letter and an email, one from a TV company and one from a newspaper, which contained allegations of specific criminal activity of a sexual nature (not just the consentual promiscuity and previous drug-taking that'd he's already spoken about at length). It's fairly obvious that these media outlets (he didn't specify, but they're thought to be Dispatches and The Sunday Times) have put the allegations to him before publication, and he's chosen to go public about it first.

By saying it's "targeting him", you're by default downplaying it as a smear campaign to just take him down. Reality is, most people don't really care about what he says. He's not even particularly prominent.

I got close to meeting Russell Brand a few years ago at a gig of his. He seemed perfectly nice but sadly the queue was too long & it never happened. I’ll be tuning in tonight.

The last known incident was 9 years ago. Outing this kind of thing tends to bring other victims forward and I can't see it being isolated to just this period. So it's entirely relevant to investigate alleged crimes.
