Catching ball 3 times

    in regard to hurling, I know you cannot catch the ball 3 times.

    so lets say you jab lift the ball, CATCH 1, then you solo the ball and then catch the ball. CATCH 2

    could it be an option at this point to play the ball to yourself.

    i.e. do a little flick pass to yourself right in front of you

    and then jab lift the ball again?
