Was shouting "first time!" at Szoboszlai there and he duely did just that, lovely cross in. In recent times we have sometimes taken that extra touch, or 4, around the opposition box which gives them time to reset.

That's not a red, he put his foot on the top of the ball and the spurs guy tips the ball away at the exact same time so Jones foot slips off the ball.

Obviously, the end result doesn't look too good in terms of the challenge, but you've gotta have some common sense, especially with the benefit of being able to look back at it. Not a red for me.

They also had him stare at a still image of the moment of contact for about 10 seconds before showing him like 2 replays of the actually incident.

Bissuma kicked the ball out form under his foot, joke of a decision. The VAR showed him the freeze frame and was in the refs ear for ages, like he was building the care for the prosecution to justify the sending off, and that to me is plain wrong. Doesn't take into account movement or the interaction of the players at all. Another winning appeal?

Anyway, we're 100% with 10 men, here we go.

They showed the ref the still frame of Jones hitting his leg first, once he sees that it doesn't matter that they show the clip because the awful look of the still will be in the refs mind.

Dunno how VAR think it's a clear and obvious error, when they looked at it and couldn't make a call on it themselves. Makes no sense, there was no need to get involved. Ref was right, it was a yellow, until he saw the still shot of his foot on this ankle.
