Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What a game - one of the best games this WC

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,617 ✭✭✭lawrencesummers

    Thats brilliant by portugal

Portugal have excellent ambition and their performance in france should be rewarded with guaranteed fixtures against tier one nations every year between now and the next RWC

Mental. Portugal found themselves with men over and in with a good chance of another score, get totally flummoxed by it, make a balls of it, and it's a try the other end seconds later.

If England are remotely good they should beat Fiji comfortable

A yellow or red could be very important

England must be laughing at home. Fiji red possibly

I think I could handle EJ v England. Fiji don’t deserve this

    Great finish there by d’artagnan

    Yes!!

Cmon Portugal, give us another opportunity to see that evil little gnome humiliated once again.

A 7pt win for Portugal would be hilarious to see Jones reaction 😅

Have portugal anyone to replace their 7???

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,140 ✭✭✭fitz

Don't care if it'd save EJ, I'd love to see Portugal win this. Even if they don't though, they can be rightly delighted with how they've performed.

I genuinely don't know how anyone could have watched Portugal and say their presence in this World Cup hasn't had value - be it the entertainment value of their madcap style or just the emotive value of such big-hearted minnows.

If Rugby is supposed to be this sport with a self-anointed sense of "values", then Portugal surely represent those values writ large.

Fiji have not a clue how to do anything but bash

  • Registered Users Posts: 548 ✭✭✭MaddChris

Fiji had a 4 on 2 and throw a skip pass forward.

    What is happening to them?

And to think Portugal wouldn't have even made the playoff if Spain hadn't messed up their player registration. But of course, these teams should never get the chance to be here according to some.

    Sucker punch coming from Portugal.

Reminds me a bit of Ireland Georgia 2007.

Massive defensive performance from Portugal over the last few minutes.
