    I have nothing but sympathy for this caller but it seems like its going to be the "highlight" of todays show and so I'm out.

    If only someone could invent a method of transmitting text with a signal.

    My first chance to listen in weeks. Tune in, first few words I hear from KT were “your wife died from cancer”. I’m out.

    When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,036 ✭✭✭✭Busi_Girl08

    This just reminds me of a caller a year or 2 back who rang in on the same issue and was trying to close an account or something, and went through all the nonsense of them not understanding that the person was dead, so she opted to pretend to be him on the phone to authorise the closure of the account. She did the voice and all. Horrible that she had to do it, but I was crying laughing at the voice.

    'I must speak to the account holder' when someone phones up to say the account holder is dead and can I arrange changing it to my name is one of the stupidest things companies can do.

    Yeah, security procedures are great but surely FFS there has to be some button they can press to change the script when someone says 'me wife/husband is dead'

    If {death} Do {this}

    The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

    The Entryism process: 1) Demand access; 2) Demand accommodation; 3) Demand a seat at the table; 4) Demand to run the table; 5) Demand to run the institution; 6) Run the institution to produce more activists and policy until they run it into the ground.

    KT should be adding a running English translation from Kerryish.

    I know it's not really the time for bargain hunting when someone doyes but when you are getting things switched over from the deceased to another family member you should look for new customer deals etc as part of the process, might as well take some bonus when it's there.

    That question about the bank name woke KT up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,036 ✭✭✭✭Busi_Girl08

    You know there will be someone who says all the right things "I'm very sorry for your loss, my condolsences" etc, they will still probably get an earful.

    If the mortgage was just in the wifes name would she not have mortgage life cover to pay it all off in her death as a condition of her mortgage?
