This is going to be the best year for prizes since 2016 and next year will be even better. Cash prizes of €24.22m for 310,710 winners.

I estimate that the bond fund has grown by just €14m this year and stands at €4.708 billion, that could change a bit by the year end. While people are still buying new bonds the balance is that the numbers cashing out is higher than previous years.

What are the odds of 1 bond winning a prize with the new prize fund?

Week = 79,200:1

Year = 1,525:1

So, roughly, if you have €10k in bonds there's a good chance of winning maybe €75, a return of 0.75% on your money. But, it could be your lucky year and that might be €500,000.

Based on the numbers provided by @dxhound2005 the number of prizes each week has almost exactly doubled, from 4,750 (approx) to 9,500 (approx). So double the chances of a win, in addition to the larger amounts. Happy days.

The newest bond to win on 01 September was BEV 275668, newest 06 October BEZ 971119, sales of around €30 million. No sign of any surge in sales. Sales in September 2022 were €52 million.

Dublin and Cork combined got 51.95% of all the prizes by number, no change there to the old prizes setup. Standout figure on the map is 22 wins for Down, the same as the other 5 NI counties combined. Next best is Tyrone with 7.

New bonds arrived today Friday. Latest number BFA 579338. They are printed on slightly heavier paper than the last ones I got for the 01 September draw.

Sent in the form to cash the vast majority of my bonds in. Keeping €600 worth for sentimental reasons!

Am I losing it? I am sure I saw 2 emails in today from Statesavings but was on the move and couldn't look at them. Now they seem to have disappeared and I see the site still has the 'technical difficulties' notice up. I was surprised to see 2 email notifications. Anyone else have similar?

Imagine that your only job is running a script that picks about 100 winners for a prize draft, once a week, always the same script, and still manage to mess it up and not fix it in several hours.

Nothing on the Mainstream Media that I can see. A couple of our friends on Ask About Money have commented. My new bonds not arriving until today did make me think they could be behind with the work. In the past it was usually Tuesday or Wednesday.

Mine are BFA542… They arrived Wednesday morning. So badly rain sodden that it took 24 hours to dry out the cert. so I didn’t really notice the paper quality !!

I have just had another email telling me I have a notification but when I go on to site, there is no prize shown!

The notification on the site tells me I have a win but the Tracker tells me I haven't - this appears to be an absolute mess!

There will be more instances of numbers close together winning prizes. A casual search shows many 3 x €75 to the same person. But this one in Cavan is the first time I saw two consecutive numbers winning.

Definitely worth trying to establish the reason they delayed it 12 hours. Particularly so close to a rate and prize structure change.

I am very concerned as to why I received 2 emails c4pm which were recalled before I had an opportunity to open them c6pm, and then why a third email tells me I have a notification on the website, which then tells me I have won a prize and to go to the Tracker option, which then tells me I haven't won a prize.

I won €75 this week and only recently purchased the bonds. It makes up for the 5 weeks waiting for the repayment of the 10 year bond!!

I can't seem to login due to verification code not being sent to my phone. I just checked with the revenue site which worked fine, in case of laptop / phone issues. The Prize Bond tracker allowed me to login without the need of a verification code being sent which I thought it had previously needed though admittedly I'm not 100% not sure on that.

I tried State Savings Online just now and it’s working fine for me, verification code arriving to my phone with no issues. The Prize Bond tracker doesn’t require a verification code.

Yes, they really need to have the draw independently verified after this. Every lottery runs on trust, and your emails suggest that they ran the draw 2 or 3 times on the one day. If that's the case, did an independent body sanction that? If not, does that mean pretty much anyone can execute the draw whenever they want? I would also love for them to publish the actual algorithm used to pick the bonds. In theory it should be really simple. Part of building trust back in the system I think.

Let us know what they say if they reply at all.
