Peter the hero getting treated as the villain

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,603 ✭✭✭prunudo

Typical soap cops, missed Stephens murderous spree over 18 months yet arrest Peter within 18 hours.

    On overheard talk from Sally

At this rate they will all testify against Peter over Stephen

before I tuned in tonight I thought, well thats it now Corrie is not going to be exciting now Stephen's gone , but I still find it knocks Eastenders out of the water at the moment. am so fed up with the storylines in EE at the moment , its a right yawnfest. They are not even coming close to Corrie at the moment

Manchester police is a great career, you keep getting promoted from rookie to arresting murderers in not time at all. And if you happen to arrest the wrong person or do a bad job (every police officer in Corrie, ever) you still keep your job.

did they really need craig to turn up with that DS - they could have just ha one of the ordinary police in the show turn up with her.

peter would have said something like "its OK craig its me , come on there's no need for the handcuffs mate.."

In reality the major incident team would be dealing with it and Craig wouldn't be next nor near murder just yet. I struggled to keep a straight face with Craig slapping the cuffs on. Ridiculous.

Do they not have a rule with the British police about not being stationed in your home patch? Craig seems way too involved in Weatherfields going ons. He should be stationed across the city, at least.

Pity Peter didn't use some of his Army skills and flatten Craig. 🤛

Ed wins on the horses and puts the money in Michael's backpack. Somehow DS Swain finds the money and comes to the conclusion that Michael was involved with Stephen so arrests him. (A tired Craig sits this one out.)

That's what I thought.....ridiculous that he's involved in all of his neighbours arrests etc.

I really thought they were going to make more out of this:

stephen killed Teddy with a blow to the head with the whole punch in the knicker factory office - Stephen wiped his fingerprints off it and shortly afterwards Michael walks in and goes "ah thats what I am looking for , the hole punch" then they prominently filmed Michael's hands all over the hole punch (for a reason??)

So, it might still be used maybe? - this is what I think could happen:

DS Swain: - let me put it to you that you were in this with Stephen , as well as the money as we done forensics on the whole punch , your prints were all over it along with teddys blood and also you went to where Rufus was staying and you drowned him!

Dee Dee looks amazing. She must have lost about 4 or 5 stone since joining Corrie. The wardrobe department dress her so well.

Still completely farcical that Steve hasn't visited or even spoken to Tim yet. 🙄

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,822 ✭✭✭✭Andy From Sligo

I think this Tim storyline is not over yet, it seems a bit too good to be true, especially in soap land.

he is still in hospital dot forget that , an d doctors can make a mistake. I reckon he could have some kind of bleed on the brain or some other injury that the doctors have missed. and he is gonna croak it...

(note I have not watched Tuesdays corrie yet)

Tim must be the first person in Corrie to get hit on the head and not be in a "Korma"

Steve is back... at long last

Bethany is due back after Christmas, isn't she both Ryan and Daniel's ex?

Please can we get rid of that Daisy wan. She's doing my head in.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 23,931 Mod ✭✭✭✭TICKLE_ME_ELMO

I like her but I think the writers have done her dirty since the acid attack. They pushed her aside to focus on Ryan, and then turned her into a cheater with a fairly underwritten plot line. I still like her though.

I think Tim has something more than PTSD, he's tired and not hungry. I reckon something will turn up about his health related to the ordeal he had.

Elaine to Sally "we have the same haircut". Well does Sally have a wig?

Good to see Steve back and nice comedic relief with David and Shona.

I was trying to think who Rita reminded me of, getting all maudlin and philosophical. It's Mrs Brown! She really had a huge whiff of the opening and closing sections of Mrs Brown

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,153 ✭✭✭littlevillage

Agreed. She's attractive and everything with a knock-out figure, but there's just something about her.... I think it's the way she speaks... very nasal and unnatural.... (and very irritating and off putting) . I know she's meant to be a tough northern lass etc. etc.

and her 'relationship' with Daniel is just odd, completely mismatched....... but Corrie seems to have form with mismatched relationships Dev & Bernie, Stu & Yazmeen as examples. Dev & Yazmeen and Stu & Bernie would be far more believable....and before anyone sees an anti blended trend here... I think Ronnie & Debbie are a perfect match.

The accent yeah but the facial expressions would drive you around the bend 😂

It's funny how many people saw Ryan's video. Are they all just casually subscribed to his porn videos?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 87,302 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

I remember her having something with Daniel and Craig but not Ryan

The comedian and actor, who is best known for being runner-up on the seventh series of the ITV talent show, has landed the role of Rob Donovan's son Bobby.
