McGuirks/Halpenney Club Fitters

Can anyone recommend any good Mcguirks or Halpenny club fitters. I was at one of the Mcguirks recently and was not impressed with the fitters knowledge at all didn't seem to have any interest and kept just grabbing stock off the shop floor. I have heard Kinsealy Mcguirks is good but open to other recommendations in the Kildare/Dublin areas. Cheers

Michael Kavanagh in Stackstown Golf club is very good and has a great setup there.

I have been to Michael before hes very good. I just have vouchers that can be used in Mcguirks or Halpenny

Ask Michael (or another fitter) what he'll charge you for a fitting. Pay him his fee for that and then with the specs he gives you after the fitting, order them from McGuirks/Halpenny.

Not sure on the type of vouchers you have but if they are One4All, I believe Mcguirks don't take these anymore.

I got fitted for my driver with Shane in McGuirks in Kinsealy and very happy with what he recommended

Gary at Kinsealy was also very good when I was in with him for a wedge fitting

I got fitted for a driver at McGuirk's Leopardstown (the one by the race course entrance, not the one by the driving range) and was very happy.

He's not at Stackstown any more, they got a new pro last month.

I played Stackstown in September, there was no pro in place at the time, I got the impression that the previous pro and the club had parted ways rather abruptly.

McGuirks have some good deals for Cobra drivers at the moment. I’ve never bought a club anywhere but adverts - do you have to hit a certain price range to get fit for a driver at McGuirks? I have no idea what shaft would be best for me etc.

They can fit you for any club, they just might not have as many shaft options available for older stock.

They do have a charge for fitting but I honestly can't remember if they charged me as I bought a brand new full price driver at the fitting, I'm not sure what they do if you buy a sale item.

They take the price of the club if you purchase one. So essentially free if buying
