Looking for some help if possible. We haven’t used boiler since the last April. Went to start this morning and the best way I can deduct is. It was blowing just not firing up. any guidance greatly appreciated.

i rang a few locals boiler lads today but all are busy until next week so trying to sort in meantime.

Did you let it run out of oil? And does it have a tiger loop fitted to it.

Try pull out the photocell and if its covered in soot give it a wipe down.

Out of oil or airlocked. Happens a lot on our old and then our new Firebird.

It's a messy job to bleed but worth learning how to do it.

    could be faulty photocell

    or control box

    apologies but what’s a tiger loop ???

    photocell is spotless.

plenty oil in tank. I will bleed to make sure no air in line.

If it was out of oil it would only "blow" for about 12 seconds and go to lockout. ie stop "blowing".

i would get somebody who knows boilers who will have all the parts in the van

you go to buy either a photocell or control box once opened there will be no return

anyway from your photo it could do with a full service
