Refurbished Computer Servers

Hi,

Looking for some help. I have a couple of Dell tower servers that have been replaced and I am wondering if there is any company that will take them to use as refurbished. The hard disks have been removed, but they are not that old and have a good spec - PowerEdge T630 & T440.

Are you looking to sell them? Without the drives, they are not worth much unfortunately, the T440 are from 2017, the T630 from 2014

I was hoping they might be of some value to someone - even for spares. But, I really want to avoid sending them to the local WEEE recycling if I can at all...

People doing Microsoft/Cisco/Citrix/etc certs are often on the lookout for cheap or free servers, put them on adverts and they will likely go quite quick - well, the 2017 one anyway.

Given how specific they are in nature, I suspect refurbishing companies wouldn't have much interest in them. But there may be people looking to build their own NAS. Are they equipped for LFF or SFF drives?

I meant what trays/backplane do they have, as they both have options for SFF and LFF.

I am trying to figure that out myself! Are they of any value to someone? as I said I am reluctant to send them for recycling as I'm hoping someone might have a recomendation

I had about 50 desktops which I tried to give to reuse charities etc and couldnt get anyone to take them ( drives were wiped but present ). Chased some of the charities repeatedly but gave up... Put them on done deal and they were gone in a few hours.

Old servers tend to be to noisy for domestic use, which makes them bad candidates for NAS.

Yeah, I would have said the same - stick them on Adverts and see what someone will give you for them. I know a couple of months ago I was searching there for a new second-hand server for a NAS and would have taken the T440 off you for a bit of cash.
