Looks like it will be a popular week for WCers ... I on the other hand need to reverse some decisions I made on mine last week and get Salah back ASAP.

2FT and will prob need to downgrade Maddison to Palmer to switch Diaz out for Salah. Could also switch to a 352 and downgrade Watkins to Wood, ditch Diaz for Salah and keep Maddison. I will be sure to make the wrong decision anyway!

It'll be hard to get rid of watkins with a home game to luton though, don't have him but considering dropping ebh for him as I can't get

    rid of salah

I'd be getting rid of Diaz myself, has looked good but his returns are crap

Easy decision this week, March out for Palmer, done already, he should rise this week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,733 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Bruno out (finally).... actually haven't a clue to get in for him yet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,937 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

Anyone not transferring in Watkins next week?

You'd be brave to go without right now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭crushproof

Watkins 100% in, might replace Diaby with Luiz.

Only option I have without getting rid of a premium is Alvarez out for Watkins. Really want to have both!

At this stage Alverez is nearly a premium player especially at his price point

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

I'm not transferring him in next week........

......As I've owned him from the start!l

Reckon there’ll be plenty of hits taken this week.

    I’m on a -12 already.

  • Registered Users Posts: 771 ✭✭✭Lefty2Guns

Alverez doing so well I sold Haaland. Might regret it down the road but Alverez doing a great job so far.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,366 ✭✭✭Porthallian

Any idea how to get Salah into this team? I have 2fts and 0.0m.

    Ederson Turner

    Trippier Burn Cash Estup Gusto

    Son Maddison Saka Mbeumo D.Luiz

    Haaland Alvarez Watkins.

Ederson can go, maybe Trippier/Mbeumo. And Son/Maddison depending how they do tonight. I'm struggling to fit them all in. Salah is killing me in leagues

2 FT's and very happy with my team, usually the time you get hit witha spate of red flags.

    Johnstone (Turner)

Cash / Digne / Porro (Udogie, Kabore)

Salah / Son / Bowen / Mitoma (Anderson)

    Haaland / Alvarez / Watkins

Would like to get Saka but happy with the rest of them, maybe Porro to Tsimikas to play for the next two weeks (FOR, lut).

  • Registered Users Posts: 540 ✭✭✭C4000

Haaland and Sterling out, Watkins and Salah in.....based on the upcoming run of fixtures for City/Villa/Liverpool.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,850 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Estup  is injured so downgrade him to say Taylor - that's probably 1.3m saved? then Mitoma down to Nakamare and Saka to Salah will probably get you there

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,366 ✭✭✭Porthallian

Unfortunately not. Estup is 5m for me so down to a 3.9 is only 1.1m saved.

Don't have Mitoma but even Mbeumo to Nakamba is another 1.2m saved.

3.3m isn't quite enough to upgrade Son let alone Saka.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,850 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

I guess it’s Maddison to nakamara then.

our teams aren’t too dissimilar I have salah and Son and can fit it front 3 and have trippier - but maybe salah has gone up a bit?

Gonna hold off on wildcarding for another bit...but some surgery needed...current options running through my head

    A) Bruno to Douglas Luiz

    B) Bruno to A.Fodder and Mubama to Watkins (for a hit)

    C) Bruno to Saka

Already have Alvarez and Haaland so don't want to move either of them.

Rest of midfield is Son, JWP, Salah and Mbeumo

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,366 ✭✭✭Porthallian

Yeah he's at 12.7 now unfortunately. I think I'm about 2-3 weeks late but can't go without any longer. If Spurs go mad tonight I could be back to the drawing board. But currently dropping Maddison and either Son/Saka to make way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,850 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

As a JWP owner I wonder is he worth having - he’s blank the last 3 - you could get luiz in for him I think - but having Bruno is probably a bigger issue

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

With 2 FTs, in a week of many wildcards, I would even take a -4 for a mini wildcard. It's not that big of a deal taking a hit this GW IMO.

I am taking Diaz out of my team on wildcard. While he could/should have scored and assisted on Saturday, he didn't and his end product was poor in a FPL sense. I know he won both fouls for the red card and won the penalty but they won't happen every GW. Klopp talked about how he played him as the LB after Tsimikas went off too. But that could have been a tactical thing as Everton were playing a back 5 with no wide midfielders so it could have just been for that particular game as Klopp did mention that he wanted someone to drive from wide at that time, so he was using Diaz's pace but from deep instead.

Who would you move to get Saka in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,303 ✭✭✭COH

Not sure if I want to get rid of Madisson for Salah now 🫠

  • Registered Users Posts: 696 ✭✭✭Newbie20

Took a minus 8 to get Salah in (couldn’t afford him if he rises again). Not ideal but he’s killed me in my mini leagues the last 2 GWs. Had to get rid of Maddison despite tonight.

    I now have

Salah Saka Son in midfield and

Watkins Haaland Alvarez up front so feel it’s worth the hits

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,055 ✭✭✭fplfan12345

You don’t have an obvious move unless you have cash in the bank to upgrade JWP and you don’t have a defender you can downgrade either.

Unless selling Botman would get you over the line ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,665 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

I'd love to have the balls to ditch Haaland. If only he didn't have Bournemouth in GW11.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,850 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Do you think Saka's form warrants bringing him in, based on his price and what he's doing compared to others? Darwin out for someone probably the most obv and use that money to upgrade someone. I'd be more inclined trying to fit Son in instead of Saka.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,459 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

I took a chance last week and took out Aknaji for Tsimikas, it gives me enough to do JWP -> Saka. West Hams fixtures are great but he was very deep v Villa

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,459 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

We always seem to look at things completely differently, Saka has 8 returns in the 9 games hes started this year, plus he turned down two penalties. Their fixtures are incredible, I'd say its more a question of whether you double up or not

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,733 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Well option C is off the table now after Bruno's price drop 🙄

Gut is saying Luiz....head is saying recency bias 😆

I think Son is more important than Saka. Spurs are flying while Arsenal aren't exactly - they are more grinding out results - and they have wide range of people who can score, whereas with Spurs everything comes through Son who is playing more central these days with Richy out wide. On the comment about penalities, if you take away his penalites - is he still worth having? Your flying this year so maybe it will work out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,459 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

Moving to Son would mean it's for Maddison, very sideways.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,937 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

ive the same mid as you but have bowen and would love to drop him but with everton palace brent burnley forest spurs fulham up next it's hard

    to go without him

gonna have to drop maddie for saka

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,850 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

In the sense that you think it's nearly worth having Saka and another mid, could probably say having Maddison and Son are equally strong - if not stronger than 2 Arsenal mids.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,459 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

I'd definitely prioritise an arsenal mid, Salah then Saka in that order for the next few

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,459 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

I'd rate Bowen over Maddison for the next few as well, their fixtures are great

would love to free hit and fill the teams with arsenal and villa along with alvarez bowen salah nunes but it'll kill me when the double gws appear

I'll probably be too far behind in my league by then though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,450 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Only way I'd be ditching Haaland is if you're in the millionaires club. Bigger risk to go without if you're contending in mini leagues

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭crushproof

Absolutely pain selecting Mids this season, I can't remember the last time there were so many well priced options that are absolutely blazing week in week out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Saka is about to play the worst defence in the league, at home. As long as he is over his injury worries, then he will play and get returns.

IIRC, in that game he gave the penalties away against Bournemouth, he had already scored in that game. And he has taken a few others this season previously, when he hadn't scored in that game. Messi used to do similar years ago with Neymar and Suarez sometimes sharing penalties with him. But I'm sure if it was 0-0 on 85 mins, he was taking it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,850 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

On that basis do you think he's going to be a high captain choice this week, given they are playing the worse defense in the league at home. I would hazard a guess that he won't be top 3 picks this week.

Salah will probably be captained by anyone who has him, it's a bumper week for Captain choices, Watkins could be great pick also

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,719 ✭✭✭dr.kenneth noisewater

You could also frae it that was they're playing the worst team he'll be rested. Most talk around his recent injury was around how he's being played too much and not being rested so I think if he's going to be rested in any game it will be at home to SHU (FWIW I think he'll play but wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Well on that matter, I wouldn't trust a thing Arteta says on any potential rest/injury. It's come out from Arsenal that they leaked him being fit before the Man City game, and even told the England camp that he was fit so that he would be included in their squad. Just to throw Man City off, ahead of their game.

I think Arteta will play him in every game. There's a league cup game coming up soon so he might get the rest there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Salah's a better MID choice IMO, but not everyone can get to Salah in 1 or 2 FTs. I'd harbour a guess that anyone with 1 FT can get to Saka and maybe he is their best captaincy choice.

If you own Saka already, and buy Salah, then you can captain Salah with the double win of owning both if they haul. If you don't own Salah, you captain Saka and try get that double gain there if he scores bigger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,665 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

RE: Spurs - Are they're flying because they're actually good or because they've had the easiest start of any team? I'm interested to see what the answer to this will be in a month's time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,497 ✭✭✭macraignil

Trippier predicted to rise tonight and have moved to get him in for Gvardiol as had moved last week to get enough in the bank to make the change. Would have preferred to wait until after the Champions league game but can't make the switch if his price does go up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

These are the top 10 teams, and who they have played from the other top 10 teams.

Spurs, Man City & Man Utd have had the easier fixtures so far, given the opponent league placings.

Liverpool, Newcastle, Brighton & West Ham have had the harder fixtures, given the opponent league placings.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,850 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Regardless of how spurs are doing - I reckon that from FF Son will outscore Saka over next 5 games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,733 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Just had a look at Eddie Nketiahs minutes there.... actually a lot higher than I had thought tbh.

Thinking now of Bruno to Luiz, and Mubama to Nketiah for a hit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,450 ✭✭✭Shedite27

I'm guessing that coincides with Jesus being out tho
