Advice needed on replacing existing lighting under Kitchen counter top

Hi,

Looking for some Advice needed on replacing existing lighting under Kitchen counter top, the bulbs we have currently are not very efficient and blow every 12 months or so.

See attached pics, the bulbs seem to be robus 230v 50hz LSTR 20w

Preferably, I am looking to replace the current bulbs with a led variant, be great if I could use the existing housing for that, if not could I use the viewing and wire it into a new light strip?

Any help would be great

You can motion sensor LED strips that are held in place by stick on magnets and charged with USB for peanuts. They are a great job.

I just ordered them, 50cm x 4 & 20cm x 1

I'm just gonna leave the existing lights in place and just stick these up, I take the magnets come with the lights Op?

Yeah, the magnets (4 stick on magnets with each unit) and a charger is included with each one. There are 3 different options to set them to, I just set mine to come on at any motion and stay on for 25 seconds if there is no further movement. The sensors are very impressive and the light will stay on if there is any movement within a handy space.

I remember visiting a friends new house about 20 years ago and they had the same lights in principle fitted and connected to the mains,at the time it was like walking into a space ship. It cost them a right few grand at the time.

The lights I have are all blown and are expensive so change, they blow me as nearly every 12 months, I'll give the battery ones a go, €29 for all the lights, if they don't work I'll put them in the warbrobes, if you have a replacement suggestion for wired lights, I would love to hear them.

I had same strip lights for 15yrs only changed bulbs once, the corner one blew completely even after changing bulb, say fittings ran their course, I replaced with LED ones with new casing will take a pic tomorrow and post up.

Had the same issue with my old ones and just bought a load of these 7 years ago with a few spares just in case and they are still going strong. I just cut the wires and used connectors to join them. I see you've ordered something anyway but just happened to notice they have the undercounter lights in Lidl at the moment, I had previously bought 2 in Lidl couple of years ago for my kitchen, they have a plug but I imagine could be just wired in too. Just in case the other option doesn't work.
