coverage of AIL on irishrugby.ie for the 1st week was very poor.

No roundup of scorers and teams on monday morning and no recaps as they did last season. shocking stuff.

Hi. If someone wants to attend a rugby match in Dublin in order to see Lansdowne, UCD, or Clontarf play, how would they get tickets for these matches?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,186 ✭✭✭Lost Ormond

fiver/tenner. trinity games are free/donation if you wish...

  • Registered Users Posts: 18 John Hastings

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,186 ✭✭✭Lost Ormond

Turn up on the day to club venue of your choosing. Never a need to buy a ticket.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18 John Hastings

    So it's free? I'm confused. You said it's 5 or 10 euro.

  • Registered Users Posts: 116 ✭✭RAKM

Just turn up and pay cash at the gate. Trinity is free because the pitch is in the middle of the campus and its imposible to keep people out. You should go to a game somewhere. The top teams produce some good rugby.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 336 ✭✭luke9311

its a tener in the gate to lansdowne home games. they take either card or cash at the gate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,186 ✭✭✭Lost Ormond

No i said trinity is free. as they are in middle of campus and cant charge.

most clubs are fiver or a tenner. some clubs now take card as well

  • Registered Users Posts: 18 John Hastings

Thanks for all the answers guys. Much appreciated. 👍

He'd been involved with kilfeacle recently and they were due to play local arch rivals clanwilliam today.

    Very sad news. Rip.

    Big game v Lansdowne today

Not season defining considering only 5 games in but we need the win!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 336 ✭✭luke9311

Missed the game myself followed the twitter Dooley to win it last minute from the tee. Gutted 😭

Well done on the win. Exciting game. Dooley is some operator.

  • Registered Users Posts: 636 ✭✭✭Chico Flores

Was exciting, two teams who know each other very well. Sort of negated each other to a degree. Wasn't a classic but was bloody physical.

    Cool as ice is Dooley.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 733 ✭✭✭Hey_Ho_Lets_Go_3

    hows Gunne going for Nure?

  • Registered Users Posts: 636 ✭✭✭Chico Flores

Yeah going well, we have been a little collectively off boil but he's a very tidy player. As many games as possible is good for him

Alan Bennie is injured, so he's getting a good run.

One of the lads was saying that Trinity have lost their last 18 AIL games, they need to start stringing some results together.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,186 ✭✭✭Lost Ormond

That's not true about 18 in a row. But yeah they need few wins soon or will be cut adrift...

  • Registered Users Posts: 636 ✭✭✭Chico Flores

It is 16 of their last 17. and the one was a draw it seems.

  • Registered Users Posts: 636 ✭✭✭Chico Flores

I know it is self praise - but the social media on the Terenure team announcements is so cool and well done

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 733 ✭✭✭Hey_Ho_Lets_Go_3

    Yeah its fantastic.

    Fairly miserable day for rugby

Saw some of both bohs ballymena and cookies terenure

Ballymena will be disappointed with how they finished things off in attack. Peob should have g0t more from today

Even with weather thought there would be more in tom clifford park. Late penalty got losing bonus for nure. Real classic dirty winter game. Win totally deserved for cookies

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,551 ✭✭✭ulsteru20s

Are Trinity going to go down? They got beat handily again today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,186 ✭✭✭Lost Ormond

9 points adrift after 6 games. And with good bit worse points differencr as well. Very hard to see them not going down bar a huge change in form

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,551 ✭✭✭ulsteru20s

They have Shannon away on dec 9. Feels like they would need to win both games against them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 336 ✭✭luke9311

looking likely.... wonder what there teamsheets will look like come closer to business end of season though..... ucd werent far off where they are now last season bottom 2 or close to fighting relegation and pulled it out of the bag come end of the season. Not solely putting it down to academy and contracted players been released for some of them games at the closing stages last season but it did help.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,273 ✭✭✭Stainalert

Think it is very early to be writing anyone off just yet. Trinity have been pretty unlucky with player availability also.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 733 ✭✭✭Hey_Ho_Lets_Go_3

Confused to see Sean Obrien was playing to naas last week against Blackrock. I'm almost certain I saw he played Leinster league for tullow against bective in September. He can hardly play both?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,273 ✭✭✭Stainalert

He has dual status with Tullow & Naas meaning he is registered with Tullow but with their permission can be released to play with Naas on request.
