Tub diet feeder

Looking to get a small diet feeder, 5-7m3 if can as don’t need massive one. Anything look out for or recommended makes, especially if going 2nd?

Not the question you asked, but is there any diet feeder that is good at feeding silage bales. I've a keenan and it is terrible at it, incredibly slow at throwing out the silage when the silage was from bales

How many knives have you in it ? How well chopped are the bales

our Keenan has 40 odd knives and bales are fully chopped with 24 knives

no issue with bales in ours as a result

Yes Keenan is a disaster for bales... just takes too long.... buy a Tanco bale shear and forget bout using feeder

You’re dead right. A feeder is only complicating what should be a simple process.

I agree however the yard is designed when feed troughs everywhere that can only filled with a feeder. Ideal when using good pit silage as there is no pushing in silage but a pain now that I have a couple of hundred bales that the Keanan is terrible at dealing with
