Sauce for fish and potatoes and peas

I'm looking for a nice sauce which would go nicely with white fish and fresh potatoes and peas

Looking for a bottle I can buy in Dunnes rather than making each time

Any ideas

It would take a lot to beat pink sauce on fish ie mayo/ketchup mix with a hint of tobasco if you're feelin mental

And after reading your post again I can confirm you will not beat pink sauce with anything from a bottle

Do the supermarkets do ready made Hollandaise?

But if you want to make something quick and easy:

Mornay. But simplify it.

Make a roux, and add milk and cheese.

White/parsley or hollandaise/mornay sauce is far superior to any hot sauce with all of those ingredients.

i agree. I make mine with one dollop of ketchup, half that amount of mayonnaise, and half that amount again of mustard

but there's a few varieties of recipes if you google Marie Rose Sauce

or just buy the Heinz Saucy Sauce Mayonnaise Ketchup Sauce 425g (dunnesstoresgrocery.com)

Definitely. I’d be going with corny or parsley sauce. I’m not even convinced with a hollandaide for potatoes peas and fish.

I had mash, hake and hollandaise sauce at a hotel function last week.

Possibly one of the blandest things I've ever eaten. Hollandaise added nothing.

Pink sauce has its place and is nice with fish goujons or cold prawns. It doesn't sound good with hot white fish, spuds and veg at all. Parsley sauce is your only man.

Saffron vinaigrette. Lasts for a week or more in the fridge. Takes 2 mins.

2 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon garlic minced
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
pinch of saffron
60ml cup olive oil
salt and pepper
