Sky Siro - email app requires re-authentication

That doesn't sound right that you need a Static IP address. Have you tried turning off WiFi on the phone for a couple of days and use mobile data instead to see if the same behaviour happens?

What email app are you using?

I have Sky abelt on the Openeir network and never have this issue using Outlook app for work email on my phone. And I dont have a statuic Ip address either.

It's say its related to your works email service and nothing to do with your broadband service.

Almost everyone's IP address changes daily, unless you have a static IP address, which is rare on home broadband connections these days.

You are hardly using a VPN on your phone by any chance?

That might explain that issue.

it sounds like they are using an older email service, like an old exchange server, most companies use Microsoft 365 these days, where this wouldn't be an issue.

Your IT guy was just fobbing you off. Is it happening to all users or just you?

Surely the it guy meant external IP and not the internal IP that he could change in settings.

Your IP wouldn’t change that often even without a static IP. All he needs to do is google what’s my ip today, and then again tomorrow when still connected to it with the same ip to prove the guy wrong.

There's your answer, your works office 365 tenant authentication settings are set up so you have to auth every 24 hours.
