TOH been good under high ball so far

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭SqueakyKneecap

    Carty saved us bigtime there

Breakdown is a disaster. It’s like we are not bothering to put any numbers into the rucks. Constantly turned over.

The only decent play so far is the defensive effort when Embra get into the 22. Can't fault them for last ditch tackling but we've no real coherence or accuracy when offloading with ball in hand.

Great pressure there to force the lnock on.

Great work there from Daly. Hopefully we kick on now.

TOH must've made made 2 try savers so far. He's been fantastic. I'd have taken 7-3 down at HT if you offered it pre-match.

Defensively solid bar the try which SOB looked completely at sea for.

You’d take being only 4 points down at the break as Connacht have played very little rugby in the right areas so far.

7-3 at half time. could be worse for Connacht. Crazy handling errors, Whitehouse allowing Edinburgh off their feet at the breakdown...

Connacht slipping all over the shop on that surface. I wonder what sort of studs/spikes they have on.

Porch will be a loss. Presume TOH to 14 and Carty to 15 so Hawkshaw goes 10? I suppose Daly played 10 against Edinburgh in our last away win again these too.

That looked like pure cowardice from Kinghorn, jumped into porch who only had eyes for the ball.

Doesn’t look good for Porch. Carted off. Only back from injury as well.

Not great with Cordero already out for the season. Bit thin in the back three.

    FFS

Came down awkward from a high ball, knee didn't look great. Was taking on gas and didn't look happy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 68,695 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

That’s what will happen if you don’t tackle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭SqueakyKneecap

Carty and Daly could've done a bit better there. I know it's Van der Merve and all but that was avoidable.

We're dealing with Edinburgh's phase play quite comfortably but have looked at sea on turnover ball/kick return.

  • Registered Users Posts: 185 ✭✭tmc1963

That’s nonsense and unfair - accident, nothing else

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,339 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Don’t know the official stats but it always feels like we concede a lot of long distance tries compared to most sides.

Think that might have been a high shot on Aungier as well. He’s bleeding.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭SqueakyKneecap

TOH deserved that try. Great game so far.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,449 ✭✭✭Wegians89

Deserved try for TOH, been very good today.

    Aungier looks in bother

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,641 ✭✭✭clsmooth

Not sure there is mitigation there. Didn’t think Aungier is tackled into Schoeman there? Could do with seeing it again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭SqueakyKneecap

I've seen reds for a lot less than that when it comes to head to head contact tbh.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,082 ✭✭✭Brief_Lives

It happened so quick, I think yellow was a good call.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭SqueakyKneecap

Gwan Joycey! Great work from the lads.

  • Registered Users Posts: 216 ✭✭AccidentallyOnside

That's olivers try- prendergast is about to be tackled over the line and Oliver keeps him in.

    Much better all around.

    Carty. Can't be missing them

Ah Jack. Can’t be missing that one.

Must be TOH’s best game in quite a while.
