Sick thing is if it weren't for the internationals this week Diaz starts this game 99% of the time (the 1% being family reasons) and we would look better with him there over Jota.

It shouldn't matter if we get booked or not, one of them needed to foul him so the chance breaks down. It's just the smart move to make in a situation there, especially when they are feeding it into the most clinical striker in the world.

If Jota reads that situation a bit better there he could have had an free shot at goal after Ederson palms the ball back.

Actually don’t think we’ve done that badly. We’ve certainly played worse there. One shanked Allison kick out aside and it’s probably 0-0 at the break. We’ve had a few opportunities ourselves. Just have to hang in there and not concede another and hope we can take a chance as we will have a couple in the second half.
