Considering the particulars of an Irish based pornography company?

I'm just musing, but to those more adept in business management, what hurdles would have to be negotiated in doing something like this?

    I initially had the idea when I saw a very popular pornography company is actually licenced in Dublin;

    It's called "Private dot com".

As it happens, I assume for tax-break purposes, they've just licensed an office here. But the actual production work is confined to eastern Europe.

There are some UK based pornography outlets, but....... I mean they're pure trash. Horrible.

This outfit "Private" does respectable material.

The reason I ask is because,

    1) Ireland is considered an economic powerhouse (though it's more like a house of cards in reality), and this is typically associated with the idea of "glamour", which attracts interest

    2) There's no other companies in the country doing it

    3) There's a potentially extensive talent pool to draw from, right here on the doorstep, and as mentioned, the country has an international reputation as being an economic hotspot, which has the potential to attract further talent.

    ......

Is there any reason why this couldn't be done? Thoughts from business moguls among us?

In physics we trust....... (as insanely difficult to decipher as it may be)

I didn't say I'd ever want my face on camera.

I just think there's an untapped market, and Lawd knows, there's no shortage of consumer demand.

I think the selling point would be, local talent.

Not some woman from the far West or nonsense Hollywood imitation.

    We're talking, local.

    .......

That being said, in the era of just about everything for free via online and piracy, how do porno companies stay financially viable?

Many actors and 'tresses are turning to social media platforms.

Still though, between "Private", "Amateur Allure", "JustDoeEet" (French outfit, hot!), some clearly still maintain said viability.

Too late, there was a bird from a chipper in Tallaght, did this years ago. Now that’s an entrepreneur.

From the experience of someone who worked in the broader industry for many years: Ireland is too small. It's too small to find native actors and actresses, and the population is too small too make a niche category commercially successful. Rude Brittania, the UK production house tried to break into the market, unsuccessfully. Irish women are afraid of someone recognising them, and their reputation being ruined. It has happened on several occasions before, with the Sunday World having a field day. Remember, it's not that long ago that gaggles of old women were saying novenas outside adult shops in Dublin. Next up, it's costly. People on average earn a pretty decent salary here so you'd have to pay top dollar for someone to think it was worth their while. They don't need to do porn. Acting in porn is often 'get out' money for many of the actresses in eastern europe, or a sideline for drug addicted prostitutes. Thirdly, the looks. When porn became costlier and costlier to produce in California, they moved to Prague. Endless supply of beauties, on low salaries, desperate to leave after the fall of communism. Then they moved to Hungary, and then Romania. Same, and same. Irish women in comparison on average, have poor diets, genes and dedication to fitness. Nobody, outside of Ireland wants to see pasty Sorcha who has never seen the inside of a gym and lives on spuds, in a 2hr gangbang.

What does the "broader industry" constitute, just wondering?

But yeah what you're saying makes sense.

I was actually thinking, seems as there's so many eastern europeans in Ireland now, just make use of the "home based" resources?

I wasn't aware the likes of private dot com were actually a US outfit re-located to eastern europe though.

I mean, those chicks are hot.

A long way from the old US washouts that used to dominate the scene.

Also, what is going on lately with Irish chicks being super tanned?

It's not historically in our blood line.

Chicks now a days, they're all olive skinned.

I believe this is chemical modification, melanotan (tan injections) running rampant.
