National Dairy Beef Welfare Scheme

Anyone with dairy calves should be entering. It’s money for buttons.

There’ll hardly be too many lads will sign up to it next year so if the money will be given to someone else!

Payments to commence Monday 4th of Dec. I presume we will see it in amounts due over the weekend.

Where are these reports showing up

I accessed mine on the ICBF web app. My dairy cross beef bull calves averaged R- 3= at a carcass weight of 370kgs at 26 months.

The equivalent heifers were O= 4- at 290kg carcass weight at 26 months.

Dairy bulls were O- 2+ at 353kg carcass weight at 26 months.

For those of you that know more of the beef game than me, did they leave any few bob for the calf buyer?

I take pride in having ggod calves, given a good start in life. Hopefully the likes of this report will make it easier for genuine sellers to stand out from those that don't sell a decent calf.
