There's word of Tyler Bate coming up soon

  • Registered Users Posts: 86,375 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

I'd keep Punk as a free agent who can appear on all shows

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,070 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Going by what was said on this week's NXT, the NXT entrant will be

    Carmelo Hayes.

Trick made a comment to him saying he'd be okay to fight on Smackdown.

Well Styles is back. Interesting return for him. I'd love a good old Fatal 4 Way at the Rumble with Roman defending against Styles, Orton and Knight. They can do Orton and Roman one on one then in Perth at EC.

    Styles is jacked

Likely a coincidence but seeing the opening segment with Solo being picked over Jimmy just reminded me of Athena naming Lexy valedictorian.

    Now I want this too.

Shame about Charlotte, she definitely turns it up around Mania season, so here being out is unfortunate.

    Wellness policy RIP.

Jesus, doesn't even look like AJ anymore from that angle

Randy and AJ saying a lot of prayers and taking a lot of vitamins while they were away.

TKO Group Holding getting rid of USDA for it's UFC drug testing and WWE wellness policy dead in the water by the looks of it, jucing is back in fashion.

Hopefully roid rage will be monitored by the head honcho's in TKO.

It could segue nicely into building a mania match between Styles and Knight too. Not sure where Orton fits in for Mania mind

  • Registered Users Posts: 86,375 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

Was Orton always bigger than Reigns, in height and build

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,344 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Is tonight the best of 2023 ?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 51,460 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

    Nope. It's Thursday 🤣

Tomorrow night has the US Title semi finals though so not a best of

    Pre Taped Last Week Recorded

    * United States Championship Tournament: Santos Escobar defeated Bobby Lashley thanks to interference from Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo.

    * NXT North American Championship: Dragon Lee (c) defeated Butch.

    * AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and LA Knight face off in a promo segment, with each of them claiming they want to be the next challenger to Roman Reigns' Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. "SmackDown" General Manager Nick Aldis later announced that they will compete in a triple match on the "New Year's Revolution" edition of SmackDown, where the winner will then go on to face Reigns for the title at the 2024 Royal Rumble event.

    * Holiday Havoc: Bianca Belair, Zelina Vega, Michin, and Shotzi defeated Damage CTRL (Bayley, Asuka, Kairi Sane & IYO SKY). Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre return to attack Sane at some point during the segment.

    * United States Championship Tournament: Kevin Owens defeated Carmelo Hayes.

    * AJ Styles defeated Solo Sikoa via disqualification after Roman Reigns attacked "The Phenomenal One." A brawl involving The Bloodline, Styles, Knight, and Orton then followed.

Going by that Kross video, it looks like Authors of Pain are returning with Paul Ellering. Just checked and their last match was September 2020.

Nick Aldis is just a fantastic on screen persona. His screen presence really is next level without even saying all that much.

I foresee shenanigans in the triple threat match in two weeks leading to a fatal 4 way at the Rumble. Roman and co taking all three out leading to a no contest or something like that.

Or that's what I want to see at least!

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,070 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

So if they weren't taking a break next week, would we be getting a 6 man tag?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,126 ✭✭✭ThePott

Only caught up now. Assumed this would be filler with a pre-rec and so close to Christmas but there was actually some big stuff on it.

Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre popping up, please don't forget about them now. Garcia and Humberto joining Santos. Authors of Pain (with PAUL ELLERING! hopefully) and that triple threat could be class. Even though it'll probably just be shenanigans at the Rumble for the winner.

I'm assuming next week is a best of since New Years Revolution is two weeks out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 86,375 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

Roman Reigns and Logan Paul down for this week's show

KO vs. Santos for US title shot

Orton vs. Styles vs. Knight for Reigns title shot at RR

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,797 ✭✭✭Sirsok

Could Rock cost Reigns the title?

Say Orton wins at the Rumble, him and Cody have a built in history so easy to navigate to that.

Then Rock v Reigns can be for head of the table or whatever.

Cody beats Orton, Reigns beats Rock. Both circle back to each other then for Summerslam?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 51,460 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

I like that idea funnily enough which means it's definitely not gonna happen 🤣

That scenario works for all parties though as Rock/Reigns doesn't need the titles but without Reigns dropping them sharpish there's no way to negotiate around them and this would, possibly be a clever route.

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,344 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Roman getting pinned and losing the title is going to be one of the great moments of modern wrestling

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,070 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Unless it's messed up in some way. Remember Becky pinning Ronda?

Or it's a kinda crappy finish. The Taker streak ending was very anticlimactic. Though that may be partially due to it being so unexpected and unwanted.

In guessing this is Kross and AOPs last shot
