How does a second PS5 in the same house work?

Hi All,

I'm getting my son a PS5 for his room for Christmas, I have one already in my man cave! 😎

For him to play online, is there a way to log into my main PSN account on the second console and he can use his user account on the his new PS5?

We obviously would be playing online games on both consoles at the same time...

I think you can set the second one as your home console then helps account should get the benefits. Then you play on your account in yours but not set as home and it should work.

Exactly, you set each others as primary.

You can then share games.

He has access to online due to you having your account on both consoles.

Yeah I think Sony called it your "home" console. But essentially your primary. That sets the access for the other accounts.

You each have your accounts on both PS5s.

Set his PS5 as your primary.

Set your PS5 as his primary.

Is the game sharing the same as on xbox? He shares xbox game pass with his older brother. Plan is to share the PSN with cousin

I don't know how xbox works.

On PS, each sets the others as primary.

Both have access to each others games.
