That's actually double what fell in wicklow Town below you, double loughlinstown above you and double what fell in Arklow

10 to 20mm above the rainfall also than most of the stations on Wow and Davis in Cork and Kerry

It seems to be happening a lot

What's going on in Greystones? I presume yours is the cove on the Davis network ?

Blackbank farm is a site near Blessington lake which is a Vue according to pad that shakes a lot on a pole, its even less and its near 1900 for the year, thanks to the shaking

Ditto the station in Gorey which consistently throws out double anywhere else for similar reasons

BTW it's not unusual for pockets of the east coast to ,for a period persistently record anomalous higher rainfall,we had that here in the October to December period of 2018

Over 2 inches in 12hours would mean a lot of flooding

Last time that happened here, both roads into the town were closed for a time

Looking on WOW another station in Greystones recorded 48mm since midnight.

    I assumed that was yours,it isn't?

Regardless there's definitely something wrong with it as it records no rain up untill midnight last night and then suddenly at midnight, its 13mm in 5 minutes or a rain rate of 156mm/hr

The rest of the night, seems to be an extra mm every 5 to 10 mins

Does that tally with yours ?

No rain to midnight looks suspicious

We are on the south side of Bray Head, overlooking Greystones. Recorded about 36mm at lunchtime today since I emptied the rain gauge yesterday afternoon. Pic attached.

    No, not my station.

The rates don't tally but totals pretty do.

54.0mm here for last 24 hours.

Very wild weather outside in west Kerry. Sustained strong winds with the odd violent gust. Hoping it'll pass quickly enough.

Wet and blustery, quite a lot of flooding on the roads around here, day to be indoors.

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

Should clear soon enough. On the road to Galway and clearance already around Kildare/Weestmeath border.
