3 core and earth for extractor fan

What cable is suitable with the recent regs for connecting an extractor fan with isolation switch to the existing switch for a ceiling light?

Anyone got any input? I was expecting to be able to get some 3 core and earth cable to power a 3A fused isolation switch connected to the fan from the existing light circuit but this wiring isn't available anymore. Screwfix have some 4 core flex cable but that's only 1mm and I understand I should use 1.5mm.

I was thinking I could use one length of cable going for the switched live and another for the live.

Thanks but I think that cable doesn't meet the new regs because the earth is bare and not the same dimensions as the live carrying wires.

If you have a 3A fuse in the spur then 1.0mm would be suitable as it is rated up to 10Amps.

I was only telling you where you can get the cable you referenced in your post. No comment on legalities of using it. i will say i still see T&E with bare earth for sale everywhere...

But would I still need 1.5 to get to spur / fused isolation switch?

Would 4 core heat resistant flex be an option

It could be an option but I'd like to know what cable an electrician would use to comply with the new standard.
