    Will happen again at some point down the line. The only question is when.

    Fatal four way is cool and all but seems like the Rumble match itself is going to struggle beyond fine like last year when relatively fresh #30 Rhodes is being hailed for eliminating #1 Gunther who did all the work.

    Feels like we're just waiting for Punk or Rock.

    Idea: Have Solo win it and Reigns brow beat him into giving it up thus Rock family intervention or something.

    And since they didn't do it last year: Put. The. Bloodline. In. The. Rumble. As. Gatekeepers. Hell, put Roman in it.

    Could we see NXT talent in the rumbles? If they won they could challenge for NXT title at WM, was it Charlotte who chose that title when she won

    Now I think maybe Punk and Bayley as the rumble winners

    I thought Logal Paul would wanna be in the rumble match itself for a "spectacular viral" spot

    So Reigns won't have to be pinned to lose his title ?

    Orton wins and they could do Orton vs Cody at Mania

    Styles or Knight wins and they could do Vs Punk at Mania

    As was mentioned here The Rock vs Reigns doesn't need the title

    Would love a left field win for the Rumble

    Rock/Reigns does need the title as it's about the who can topple the streak. Match can be done without it, sure, but meh.

    Can I please make my usual request of spoiler tagging any rumoured/reported returns or backstage sightings and betting odds?

    I was just thinking, who from previous surprise returns made the most of it in recent years. Like MVP is still there since his return.

    Also another thought was since we sometimes get the likes of Hurricane in the match since he works backstage anyway, what would be the chances of getting Petey Williams, since I don't think he ever wrestled for WWE. But I think people would know him. Even if he just came out and hit a Canadian destroyer and got eliminated.

    Maybe Nick Aldis gets a go?

    Were they sponsoring a match or the whole show? Think was usually the US Title match that got sponsored as well as the rest of the show and a backstage bit with Truth or Alpha Academy.

    They're really promoting 40 years of Hulkamania now, so no surprise if the Hulkster appears for one last hurrah, he may be ancient and have f**k all mobility now, but I'm sure his appearance would get a big pop from the crowd

    Last year Gunther was the mvp so who this year who will shine maybe not the winner but have a good showing Carmelo, Jey, Grayson etc.,

    I'm backing Bayley and CM Punk as their respective rumble winners this year

    Backing out is one thing. Could be discussed behind closed doors. But releasing a public statement like that forces TKO's hand to do something.

    So only 2 matches advertised outside of the Rumble matches?

    Would expect a women's match to be added since we just have 2 men's matches: US Title and Universal title. Though I guess they need all available women to make up the numbers for the Rumble.

    Booker T or Wade Barrett would be a fun surprise, William Regal now that he's allowed on TV would get a chuckle the NXT roster being a possibility really cuts down the numbers of veteran or comedic entries though.

    As of this morning, Lesnar had not traveled to Florida for the event. The word making the rounds at last night's SmackDown was that Lesnar, who was at one point slated to return for WrestleMania season, would not be at the PPV.  


    The terminology one source used was that Lesnar had been "withdrawn" from tonight's event and the belief was that a WWE NXT talent would be used in Lesnar's place tonight.


    Belief is that under the old regime, Vince would have used Lesnar no matter what but with TKO steering the ship, they are going to be far more aware of how a Lesnar appearance would come off to the public at this juncture.’
