German Farmers Protests

looks like our lads are going to protest too. Why is it that the patriots and right wing twitter accounts love farmers protests so much? Is it because in their view they're the opposite of urban leftists who love immigration or something?

Probably because it's someone that's protesting against the government and they join in. See the same at immigration centers, or indeed the riots in Dublin last year. There's always an element of knobjockies who join in these protests to cause trouble and probably haven't a scooby why the protests are ongoing in the first place

Maybe because they aren't left wing loons and greenies wanting to consign European farmers to the scrap heap of history.

Maybe you should educate yourself as to how urban folks have been greeting the farmers driving into their towns and cities.

A hell of a lot of the urban folks are as pis*ed off with governments, their media lackies and associated hangers on as their country cousins.

I suppose you would subscribe to the same opinion as the gobshyte green politician in Germany telling framers to use electric tractors.

The whole idea of subsidies is to keep food prices low.

If farmers were paid what covers cost with a decent margin built in for living wage plus some money for investment and then the food companies/supermarkets were to take their nice markup, the ordinary people would be back to the bad old days of spending a big chunk of their income on food.

Instead governments have come to realise hungry people are not very compliant so they ensure food prices stay low and the only way of doing that is to subsidise the producers.

The cost of production, the tracking and tracing, the level of bureaucracy in Europe is astronomical in comparison to some countries that the EU wants to do deals with in preference to their own producers.

And now to add to it the fooking cabbage heads have decided that European farmers are the major cause and biggest solution to pollution and carbon build up.

The dipshytes want to destroy Irelands national herd, flood half of Netherlands, finish small farmers for the most part in Europe and don't seem to notice a lot of the ones filling the demand will be clearing rain forests in South America.
