Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I would say that they definitely can cancel the tickets but they really couldn't be bothered. They don't care as long as they are sold.

Things may have changed but when buying tickets for U2 in 2001 something went wrong and I ended up getting twice the maximum allowed allocation. There was a note saying anyone buying more than the max might have their tickets cancelled.

I rang TM in a panic to explain what happened and the lady just said "oh right. Well do you want them all?"

I said "Err Yeah !?!" and she said "Grand so."

Can they cancel the tickets we have bought? hahaha

Absolute nightmare for them to cancel any tickets.

"Oh I got the link from a resident who asked me to buy them for him because he was busy visting his dying mother in the hospice and his mothers last wish was that her son heard AC/DC play The Jack live" etc.

I have no interest in AC/DC but the only reason I would like to attend a Croke Park concert some day is to be able to walk on the pitch even though they cover the grass.

The pitch hasn't changed locations much since the ground opened, it was just tilted a bit anti clockwise in 2000. The Aviva stadium pitch is a different matter, most of the old pitch is in the new west stand.

The presale link isn't working anymore...😶

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 314 ✭✭Mac-Chops

    Got the same email.

Hopefully everyone got sorted that got a link via email and wanted to go and that there'll be no repercussions for everyone else that wasn't naive enough to share out their own links!

    'ROCK OR BUST'

With the prices can see it selling similar to the Rolling Stones in 2018

Thank god Mammoth WVH are in the states on the 17th Aug. Good band but have supported lots of bands over here the last few years. Supporting Slash here next month

Hopefully if there is any support it's somewhat semi decent. The Darkness or Black Star Riders would be OK

Wow, people are really paying €150 a ticket to see Brian & Angus?

Sure we all saw them in 2009 twice for that price. Don't know how people can square €300 for a pair of tickets for the same setlist we had two decades ago.

I do love the band and by that I mean I'm a PowerAge and Flick of the Switch fan as much as anything else, and likewise Pearl Jam, but there comes a point when gouging takes hold.

To think when they were young lads with Bon if they could see themselves 45-50 years later as pensioners, playing to a middle class middle aged audience, I'd say they'd have laughed and said f*ck it, if they are stupid enough to pay 10-15 times what we started gigging for. 😂

A friend asked me to go yesterday evening, thought about it and got FOMO so joined the waiting room at about 8.50. Into the queue with about 16,000 ahead of me, through to the purchase page by 9.15 or so. Was gonna get two golden circle or nothing... I wasn't even offered pitch standing. Nothing other than seats in the nosebleeds, no thanks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,504 ✭✭✭✭Tauriel

This will be my first time seeing them so I would of even paid double. Was to young to go by myself back then and had no adult willing to go with me to listen to Brian's lyrics 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Del Griffith

Standing sold out, I didnt get any. Bastard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,451 ✭✭✭blastman

I paid £8.50 to see them forty years ago, but time travel still isn't an option, so....

Thats fair enough it you can afford it and have never seen them I suppose. But God it's really eye watering the price for a gig now.
