Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah City the big winners today with the amount of injuries Liverpool picked up today, in addition to the already large list of injuries.

Arsenal will be happy, and Chelsea too.

Gakpo makes it 1-4 the points are in the bag. The injuries could still do damage.

    Kelliher has been good

Another fine game. Best replacement keeper around.

Lots of celebration by the Liverpool players at the end. They must be confident. Even Klopp getting in on it.

Is it still cringey to do this?

  • Registered Users Posts: 281 ✭✭IrishOwl...

Great win, but not a great day for Liverpool....Allison confirmed out until mid march, now he could have Nunez, Jota and Jones joining him. City the big winner today....

On Brentford today, are they done for? A patched up Liverpool side for the 2nd half and they barley laid a glove. Brentford of the last few years would have been after blood against a side like that.

Why don't they book players diving? The ref in the Villa / Fulham game didn't entertain two different Cordova-Reid (Fulham forward) penalty shouts and rightly so because he took a jump (In particular the first one). If the ref decides someone went down theatrically looking for a pen should they not be carded?

Watched the Liverpool game earlier. Endi was my man if the match, he was superb. Great finish by Nunez but the header by Jota to put him in was top class.

Watching Villa v Fulham now. Villa should be at least two ahead. Fulham had chances though.

13 goals and 10 assists for Watkins now.

Arsenal 5 nil up … they just can’t stop scoring

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 33,248 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

Burnley have slipped a fair few beatings recently, with the serious lack of defending, it's easy to see why.

Red card for Kalvin Philips . He’s having a nightmare at West Ham. Surely Southgate won’t pick him for the Euros

Directly responsible for concession of some goals too

Daniel Sturridge with a handy pocket on his jumper for an iPad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,881 ✭✭✭✭klose

Connor Gallagher has about half of the back of his socks cut away, what’s the point in that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,160 ✭✭✭✭pjohnson

Phillips red card is the best part of his West Ham career. They wont have to suffer him helping the opposition in the next game.

He really would have been better staying buried on City's bench if he wanted to head to the Euros.

Terrible first touch from Jackson, not sure if the ball was right for it but you have to be hitting them first time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

jakson, how do you not score there?

Looking again, and you can still see the weather and pitch conditions are having a big effect on quality.

Sarcastic dissent from Dias. No card. Obviously.

    Sterling scores!

    raheem the dream!

Something tells me Carragher is a fan of Disasi so far!

He does love John Terry though, and Disasi is replicating him here tonight with the backs to the wall, getting the body on the line with blocks type performance.

  • Registered Users Posts: 281 ✭✭IrishOwl...

What was Walkers reaction about there?? That was a blatant foul on Sterling...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Christ that's embaressing from Walker, clearly fouls Sterling, and then literally throws a physical tantrum when he doesn't buy his penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

It's the new fad, loads of players at it. Can guarantee we'll be seeing it at U15 matches around the country on Sunday mornings!

Kit manufacturers/sponsors must be a bit miffed, basically suggests some of their gear is not fit for purpose.

Is Nkunku not fit or something that he's not starting?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,881 ✭✭✭✭klose

Chelsea have had chances here, twice Jackson has attempted poor through balls too. They will inevitably regret it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    City getting away with this.

    We know how this ends.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,873 ✭✭✭hynesie08

It's just not enjoyable watching city, there's no buzz about it. I just feel cold.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

The amount of touches City are getting in the box, feels like they'll buy a pen sooner or later.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Great, Nkunku is a bit of a game changer up front for Chelsea. Little bit surprised it's for Sterling, but maybe he's wrecked tired.

    **** hell chelsea

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

A mess between Enzo & Jackson.

    Would have been offside anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,089 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

That is so bad from Fernandez taking it off the feet of his team mate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Christ Chelsea just shooting themselves in the feet here - Gallagher should've done much better with the space he had too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 281 ✭✭IrishOwl...

I know City's team is unbelievable, but I really can't understand how they win so many games. Everytime I watch them they seem to cough up 4 maybe 5 guilt edge chances every game.

It's just the sheer quality of the team really - like, they've gone behind quite often, but just have the quality to not really care and just go on and outscore the other team. They also just exhaust you, making you chase the ball around.

They really do leave so so much space if a team is brave enough to leave two attackers up the field to brake though. But inevitably, as the game ticks on, teams fall further and further back out of fear and once they don't have that threat up the field they're dead meat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,109 ✭✭✭happyoutscan

De Bruyne with a ridiculous bit of nonsense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    What a miss by Haaland.

    terrible miss by haaland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Quite the dive alright, literally no contact on his foot, yet he topples over like the Tower of Pisa after one too many, grabs his leg and writhes like he's taken a bullet to the shin.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Might be a good time to throw on Madueke for Jackson to keep that threat higher up the field.

<edit> went for Casadei instead, can't say i know anything about him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    There it is...1-1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,881 ✭✭✭✭klose

    Always seems to be Rodri

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Inevitable... Chelsea just been dropping back more and more.
