That's his third dreadful pass of the game unfortunately.

We are incredibly **** at rugby.

That was awful from Ulster, always a dodgy pass to throw

When the sub opposition fatty is putting grubbers up the line you know your game is gone to pot

    Flannery is having a mare.

Ulster are an actual shambles. How bad to things have to get before the board says enough is enough?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,980 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Not Stockdale's day today, ragdolled into touch.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,955 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

That wasn't his fault, he had to turn around to catch a bad pass.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,556 ✭✭✭lawrencesummers

A heap of ulsters passing has been fierce amateur.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,980 ✭✭✭leakyboots

That's a super kick from Flannery

All is forgiven Flannery. Please no more stupid penalties.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,980 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Game management needed here now for the next few minutes, keep it tight in their half

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,324 ✭✭✭Locke_Lamora

Both teams losing their head at the referee is pretty funny to watch given awful both sides have been.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,980 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Told twice to break away and didn't... even got tapped on the shoulder... what did he think the ref was saying to him in that context

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,324 ✭✭✭Locke_Lamora

Tom Stewart is sometimes so unaware of what's happening at the back of the maul

    They've Ulstered it.

    Incredible.

    Great finish.

some DG from the young ospreys 10.

  • Administrators Posts: 53,707 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Got what we deserved from the game.

The rest of the season is a write off, this is an absolute shambles.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,606 ✭✭✭Shehal

Ospreys win it at the death, all happened from Stockdale needlessly taking the ball into touch leading to Ospreys gaining the territory to line up a DG.

Ulster have gotten exactly what they deserved today.

Like I said earlier, when do the Ulster board say enough is enough? Ulster are an absolute sinking ship and manage to find new depths each game...

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,980 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Some finish, great drop goal... Ospreys players pile on top of him... and then realise the clock was still going! That was an awful restart from Flannery after, way too deep, never gave his chasers a chance

Ospreys leapfrog Connacht and Ulster into 8th in the table

Absolutely no-one to blame but themselves.

We absolutely got what we deserved.

Some of the backs play as awful. Some very basic stuff.

Nice kick from Flannery, but I'm sorry he isn't the answer at 10, not remotely near it at all.

    Stockdale was terrible, absolutely woeful.

Hopefully the players are annoyed about that. I suspect a few of them probably won't lose any sleep over it.

Absolute shambles...back to being a basket case to be honest.

Good to see the break has made the difference!

Shambolic, how Stockade is near the Irish squad...

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,556 ✭✭✭lawrencesummers

How many starts has flannery had since he joined?

    Is it even 10?

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,795 ✭✭✭✭bilston

He could have 100 starts, he isn't good enough

Dan in good form and called Flannery out again

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,479 ✭✭✭Dubinusa

HB will go there. There's no way he doesn't get the 10 shirt! At this stage, Tector could probably start for Ulster.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,324 ✭✭✭Locke_Lamora

It would be easy to pile on Flannery but I think the facts are that he's been decent enough in his limited minutes coming off the bench this year but leading this team from the start is a little different. If rumours are true about Burns going then we have to be taking a chance on someone else or it'll stunt any potential progress for the rest of the team. I think today showed how crucial Cooney and Burns still are to us.

Plenty of problems lay elsewhere though - the scrum went backwards from the start, repeated soft and needless penalties, Stewart butchering the try and gifting them the ball at the end, backs looked toothless without McCloskey and Stockdale taking it personally that I mentioned he had regain some form.

Has he been decent? He is skilful and is capable of the occasional moment, but his game control is not up to it. He lies too deep and some of his decision making is highly questionable. Some.of his kicking from hand is poor as well, although he is good at cross field kicks. He actually took the ball at 12 a couple of times today and I wondered to myself is that a better position for him.
