So. A significant birthday in a few months and Mrs. says, why don't you pick a nice watch.
I am not very acquisitive, but have been thinking that a gold watch of some sort could be nice.
Allready have a recent Seamaster / JLC Reverso Duo ( 20 years old / for my 40th) / JLC Master Control Date (really like that). All SS
A bit unusual, but I do like this Omega 220.52.41.21.03.001. Not too formal, not too big, quite legible, not excessively bling.
Well depreciated on grey market for a as-new item.
My question is what might be alternative items to look at in this general style. Certainly in Dublin I rarely see anything that excites me.
All thoughts welcome :-)

In the < 20 K limited options, perhaps a compromise of a sea dweller 126603 Ostersteel and yellow gold.
A month back a new Omega Speedmaster moonwatch 310.62.42.50.99.001 for 20% off new in the UK, Omega boutique in Belfast may have matched price.

Is an omega special enough though ?Youve already got an Omega and two JLC , Do you not want something that bit more special ?
Like others I would suggest a Vacheron 56 or Patrimony .Maybe a Rolex 1908 or previous model Cellini .All low €20k

Birthday approaching and still no decisions.
I did happen to try on one of these recently. The photos do not really do it justice, The grey laquer is apparently 24 coats and kinda 3d. Expensive (overpriced?) @ €15.8k but probably significantly less on grey market.
Not certain if this is my thing, but interesting nonetheless. Anyone else tried one on?
To me, grey was the most interesting dial.
