Having read through all that nonsense, as far as I'm concerned it has to be one person... Someone that loves 2 wheels and taking pictures in front of the sundial in the Botanic Gardens!

In dont think so. Wasn't our self propelled friend much more passive aggressive and far less overtly aggressive, also never took him for the 9 hour Tim Write livestream type.

Looks like he'll do a video on movements soon. Might be alright to watch. Just had to share this screenshot. Hint: look at the number of views 😁

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,569 ✭✭✭Fitz II

His videos have been verbal bowel movements for ages. Listening to him breathlessly and solemnly declare his love for details of movement that he learned about the day before is too much for any man to take.

Boring wanker. Half the video prob be on zero west watches finishing.

Anyone watch his last vid on the explorer? I was interested as like the watch but the absolute shite coming out of him is unbearable.

Even his facts are wrong , claiming the explorer is the last rolex only available in SS and how the sub has “lost its way “ over the years and became two tone. It’s been available in two tone for near 40 year now .It’s very much car crash Tv for me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,318 ✭✭✭893bet

I see Oisin has now fallen out with Alex (I ain’t trying to spell his last name but the the watch maker that used appear on Paul T and Spenser).

Oisin in typical “catty” fashion has taken it with huge class……lol…….quote

“as soon as I understood what Alex was like loads of people contacted me saying he is at best an average watch mender”.

Someone falling out with one other person is one thing. But someone falling out with pretty much everybody else and you know where the problem is...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 287 ✭✭j2

He's now streaming his dinners! Had to laugh at that. He could stand to lose a few pounds if I'm going to be rude about it, although he is potentially handsome.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,569 ✭✭✭Fitz II

Just lonely is all and nobody to share his life with except his ever dwindling internet nerd following. Seems to push away people that get to know him. Life is pretty grim for him, doesnt seem to have anything going on in his life at all.

Agree but you didn’t reply to the important part of that comment .Should we assume Fitz doesn’t find Oisin potentially handsome ??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 287 ✭✭j2

I think he should get out of the streaming thing for one, it has limited fan appeal and it needs new content which like or not, watches rarely provides. It starts to look like a heavy and repetitive drunk quickly, albeit in beautiful surroundings. I am being rude, so forgive me, but the condescending attitude he has expressed makes me feel like it's fair game.

Ditto, although in the spirit of Óisin's taste for the finer things? You could perhaps chance having a posh **** in the spirit decadent debauchery 😉

    Edit

Well fúck Boards.ie and it's nanny state swear filter!

It blocked "wánk" in the link above, so here with zero subtlety is the attempted punchline 😉

I'm in the minioity here for sure, but to offer my opinion i enjoy his videos, think he's a very articulate and talented videographer. Also i get a strong sense that loylaty is fundamental to how he operates. i'm not looking for perfection in what he does and if he makes mistakes in either his watch explanations or mid live stream its not a show stopper. I wish him the best with what he does and unsterstand that like life content, opinions and stances evolve over time, its just being human.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,777 ✭✭✭scwazrh

That was the general consensus for the first couple of pages of this discussion but the more of the real him that shows through the harder it is to enjoy his videos. As you say , opinions and stances evolve over time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 339 ✭✭jefferson73

As soon as i posted i was thinking wonder if this will age well, anyway lets wait and see.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,569 ✭✭✭Fitz II

I used to think he was a pretty cool dude...now not so much. My advice is stop watching him now while you still enjoy his content. Only disappointment awaits.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 287 ✭✭j2

Do you think any of Oisin's fans experience a hands free orgasm while viewing his streams? That's really getting down into the nitty-gritty of things in the watch world.

I found a happy (no not ending) medium. We all know he is a seriously flawed individual, but I can still enjoy some of his content. I avoid any live streams. Not his forte - to put it diplomatically.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 287 ✭✭j2

His recent stream in Lisbon was actually funny from the little I saw. He was langered, drinking copiously, while complaining about a terrible hangover from the night before. He also mentioned getting the shakes in the morning. He's a stewed prune!

He's in Ireland! His streams have been good, I'm enjoying his channel again now.

I reckon he does lurk here, but I am not he. I do envy his gold sub though...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,318 ✭✭✭893bet

I have not watched any watch related YouTube in at least 6 months.

It was part of my goal to reduce internet and phone use.

Didn’t work. Just watch other stuff instead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,777 ✭✭✭scwazrh

I clicked on to watch it earlier to see if there was any bit of Ireland I haven’t seen that would be good for a weekend away.I made it exactly two minutes into it where he claimed his ancestors ruled the country and that was enough of his self importance for me .

So you coincidentally signed up to a fresh account on boards.ie two days after he posts a video about being back in Ireland, singing his praise.

    That's quite the coincidence indeed.

As an aisde, can you please do me a favour and stop bringing disrepute on our good name? Up until now it's been great stuff like legends of Tír Na nÓg and eternal youth. Now any time I hear my name mentioned in watch circles it's immediately negative!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,326 ✭✭✭✭Cienciano

If you watched an hour and a half of this complete turd walking around Ireland, please go to your local gp who will refer to a mental health service that can try to help you. Hopefully it's not to late.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,808 ✭✭✭mailforkev

The simping in the comments sections of his videos is mortifying, he should set up an Onlyfans and monetise it.

At least his production values are still decent, I unsubscribed a long time ago.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,569 ✭✭✭Fitz II

I am with 863bet...have not watched any watch YouTube in months, and even when I was I gave Oisin a wide berth. I had assumed he had vanished up his own hole, but sounds like he is still pickling and big upping himself to numb the pain.

Is any watch youtube still interesting or has everyone lost interest?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,584 ✭✭✭✭Creamy Goodness

AMW (Andrew Morgan Watches) the talking hands from watch finder is really the only one I watch nowadays.

His new style isn’t to everyone’s taste (lent heavily into the outrageous thumbnails and hyperbolic video titles) but his voice is so comforting and his macro shots are still mesmerising (hope he can continue to get interesting pieces to shoot now that he’s gone solo).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,022 ✭✭✭✭Kintarō Hattori

Just to mention wristwatch revival again. As Creamy has mentioned about AMW, so to do I find Marhsall's voice soothing as feck. I've fallen asleep listening to his videos.

Might not be what you're looking for though as he focuses on older watches.

I admits I watched that Ireland video earlier. Or most of it.

    1) some great shots and music. Opening 5 minutes is exceptional.

    2) Ichrono Chris meets him randomly in the street.

    3) Jesus his voice overs are in sufferable. I mean it’s worth watching just to roll your eyes. It’s unbelievable. At one stage he is video the clouds in a time lapse and goes in his put on deep voice “I feel her calling me, I am coming soon grace” referring his trip that’s coming to mayo where his anchesors ruled …..grace o malley. The level of general cringe is bad.

    4) Highlight of the video were the twins he met where one of them forgot his own name as they are so used to answering to both names

Yep watched it too and my conclusions exactly. If you can cope with the cringe that is sometimes off the scale, his vids are enjoyable and beautifully made. He missed his calling in life.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,318 ✭✭✭893bet

He was showing the cells in Killmainham gaol and was talking about how the instigators of the rising were housed there before being executed and litterly said “I as I enter the cell…..I feel my chest tighten…..knowing my character…..if I was alive 100 years ago…..I would have been at home here” or something like that. It’s **** hilarious.

He gets a hard time here man come on bro. He has put out a solid documentary on dublin with a watch connection. It's beautifully filmed, ego aside, plus he's going around watches and wonders giving his point of view. Was there last year and it's not easy to make a coherent stream about it. Just think he's a decent watch guy, not as bad as some say. I personally like his photography.

When's your next cringe inducing video out Oisin? Any other historical figures in Ireland you fee a kinship towards, like you should have been there?

Perhaps you see yourself as a reincarnated Brian Boru?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,155 ✭✭✭✭banie01

He can't be the reincarnation of Brian Boru, cos I am and I'll fight anyone who tries to claim my mantle...

The other Oisin can have a choice of weapon, Battleaxe, Sword or Holy Water 😉

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,318 ✭✭✭893bet

a lot around here are watching him 4 years. Seen the incidents with the French girl and Nico. Seen how he has acted drunk on streams on tim write.

When someone shows you who they are….believe them.

He is an arsehole who makes some nice videos.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,154 ✭✭✭redlead

He probably is an arsehole and does live up his own arse a bit (a lot to be fair), and drinks too much but I don't get the need to sh1t all over the guy like hes committing crimes against humanity. If you just ignore the live streams, his travel videos are excellent. I thought he did a great job with the Ireland video and am looking forward to part 2. He's built a cult of personality around himself with a small dedicated following and that's the bread and butter of the channel now. It doesn't interest me at all but when he goes back to the core of the original channel now and again, it's excellently made stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,326 ✭✭✭✭Cienciano

He reminds me of conor mcgregor a bit. I can't understand how people can watch him speak for more than 20 seconds and not realise he's such a fake bullshit artist.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,318 ✭✭✭893bet

    Cliffs

Paul mad. Oisin said Paul is racist. Paul not racist and pulls a few clips of Oisin from stream where Oisin is laughing about Gaza conflict basically.

Jaysus lads, stick to what you know, talking about watches. This is cringe beyond words.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,318 ✭✭✭893bet

I watched the first 20 min or so and skipped on the rest. Playground stuff. Switched over to timeless to see what he said and it’s all 2 hr live streams and ain’t no one got time for that.

Who the **** has time for still watching 2 hr live streams.

Two muppets. But it’s bad when genuinely I would prefer to be in Paul Thorpe company than the other fella.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,777 ✭✭✭scwazrh

Was Oisin not pro Palestine and now hes laughing about Gaza ?Hes so far up his own arse I’d say he confuses himself .
