    I will explain what I mean by my examples.

    New Order - Peter Hook, original bassist (not quite the same in this case)

    Queen - Freddie Mercury (R.I.P.), lead singer - how can Brian and Roger keep the name going without Freddie? Honorary mention too to former bassist John Deacon

    Doors - Jim Morrison (R.I.P,), lead singer - kept going with keyboardist Ray Manzarek on vocals

    Sometimes a change of member in a band can work, but not always. Have you any other examples, in your opinion?
