    Good few players seem to be touch-and-go and would expect them back in the next few weeks, but the biggest loss is Ryan who looks to be definitely out and he's the one I'm not sure we can absorb.

    Harry Byrne convinced me against the Bulls that he’s up for the job. Ross is a seasoned international. Tector and Prendergast look the business in the academy and in the men’s game. Cullen for whatever reason doesn’t see Frawley as a 10, it’s time we release him to Ulster to let him develop there. I’d be much more comfortable developing a specialist fullback like Henry McErlean or Jimmy O’Brien, even Larmour is showing promise there. We can’t play Frawley at 12 either because that’s Henshaw’s and Osbourne’s specialist position and they’ve both shined there this year. It is time for Leo to let Frawley go his own way and develop into the brilliant outhalf that he is.

    Frawleys versatility is a big plus. I don't see him making inroads as a 10. Maybe at Connacht or Ulster he could lay down a marker. But he gets tons of playing time with Leinster when available. Connacht and Ulster can't do much worse at 10.

    Without JR we're fecked. We can still put in a performance and could possibly sneak a win v La Rochelle, bit I doubt it.

    Ryan is our best lock and is an 80 minute player.

    Its time for people to realise he's not an out half, Leo was right about Joey and he's right about Frawley. The guy got his first start for Ireland a few weeks ago, the idea that Leinster are holding him back is laughable. His biggest issue is that he rarely stays fit for an entire block of games.

    Frawley doesn't start if everyone is fit. He's a very good player and the ideal 23 due to his versatility. But we've better 10's, 12's and 15's in the squad.

    He's 3rd/4th in the depth chart for each of those positions.

    He's also going to be competing with Osbourne and JOB for a spot in the 23. He'd probably do really well with Munster, let him play at 12 where he's best

    That's a misnomer given how insanely close the Premiership is this year. All the teams seeded from 2nd - 8th have all won 8 lost 6 with bonus points separating them. Tigers are only 5 points off second.

    Having said that the quality of the Prem just isn't really there still. I think Tigers can well make things uncomfortable for us if the injured are unavailable but the current bookies spread of 17 points is telling

    Looking back over the Bulls game I think it was a good blue print on how to beat Tigers too.

    I thought we were higher risk in attack willing to move the ball more both pre and post contact rather than recycle.

    The more time the ball spends on the deck the more time a grizzled pack can try disrupt. We gave the Bulls very little chance to do that. And I suspect we'd look to do the same against the Tigers. Don't give Reffell a chance. Although he's good for like 3 steals on a quiet game so I need to make peace with that ha.

    Hadn't been paying attention to the league table there, that's mad. Bath have just been better at accumulating bonus points than the rest.

    It's a weird point of this season with so many players rehabbing and injured. Tigers is a tough match and will be extremely physical. Just like last weeks match. I think we should win but it could be touch and go, depending on who's available. I wonder if Turner gets the call if Henshaw is out? Does dropping a cold Ringrose straight in make sense? Or playing J.O.B?

    It's funny.. This time last week I would have been thinking that the Bulls game was going to be a fairly tight affair , very physical and one that Leinster could lose if things didn't go to plan.

    They then went and put nearly 50 points on them.

    My brain is telling me similar things this week insofar as the idea that Leicester could follow an England game plan and pressure Leinster and make life very difficult , but also Leinster could blow them away and put 40+ on them.

    I saw a stat saying that the combined score-line between the two over the last 3 fixtures is something like 85-35 to Leinster.

    I'm concerned but not worried, if that makes any kind of sense.

    Leinster could put 40+ points on them easily, depending on what Leicester team show up.

    I find in knock out games where any win will do we tend to apply scoreboard pressure, so those blow outs were TBPs are at stake don't really tend to happen that often.

    I think a 30-15 score line would be realistic and a good return, depending of course on what team we put out.

    Leicester are ok injury wise again, with Josh Bassett being the main worry. I expect chessum reffell and Martin all to be named.

    Baird starting in the second row, with Conan start and Deegan on the bench could be a stronger option.

    Leicester were down a few players before that game began and lost a few more to injury during the match.

    This time round Leinster are without Ryan and potentially 3 or 4 other starters. We should still win, but I'm not 100% confident

    Sure, but we had Sam play almost 20 minutes of the match and won away by 17 points.

    Upsets are always possible, but I'm just not that worried.

    It's a big opportunity for Turner if Henshaw and Ringrose are unavailable - assuming they don't drop JOB or Frawley in at 13.

    Turner's pass out to Russell for his own try when he got the return pass was sumptuous. Just spot on execution. I'd say his 7s experience has helped develop his proficiency in throwing such passes.

    Before the current season - and even a bit into this season - I had him down as squad filler and not really at the standard you'd want against quality opposition in big games. But he's continuing to step up through the levels. I wonder if he'll ever get capped by Ireland. There's been quite a lot of debate about whether Frisch should get capped. How does Turner compare to him? He still needs a bigger body of work in bigger games, but he's on a good trajectory at the moment.

    I'd expect Leinster to win this, but the injuries do raise a couple of questions. Not sure they'll have enough for La Rochelle if they both meet in the next round and La Rochelle play to their ability

    He's got 19 starts for Leinster, 1 sole champions cup appearance, which was off the bench. He'll need much more of a decent body of work at Heineken Cup level before even considering Ireland talk I'd have thought?

    Edit: you kind of said what I was thinking re:Ireland talk to be fair, I was referring to him moving up through the levels, where he hasn't really featured at Heineken level yet

    Turner is nowhere near Ireland. Even if you exclude Ringrose and Henshaw—Osbourne and JOB are both better 13’s than him. At Ulster Hume is better. At Munster Frisch is better (if he doesn’t go to France), At Connacht you’ve Bundee and Tom Farrell at 13 who are better. Utterly delusional to think he’d get a call up.

    I don’t think Arendse is fully utilized at club or national level. Once he’s through he can’t be caught by our guys.

    I know it has nothing to do with Leinster but Antoine Frisch has verbally declared for France moving forward. He will more than likely leave Munster at the end of this season. I wouldn't be shocked if they tried to take one of Leinster's centres. Obviously not Ringrose or Henshaw and probably not Jamie Osborne but I could see them target Ciaran Frawley.

    I hope that remains the case but they are definitely going Irish qualified to replace Frisch with a starting quality centre. I wonder would they target Liam Turner. He is a talented player but with Henshaw, Ringrose, Osborne and Frawley (depending on where Leinster see him) are all ahead of him, he might not get alot of starts.

    He will more than likely leave Munster at the end of this season.

    Do we know this for sure? His contract runs until the end of next season so it's not straightforward.

    The IRFU seem to have very strict rules when it comes to numerous NIQ players in the same position. Teams from France are trying to sign Frisch, they would have to offer Munster compensation in return.
