Whatever happened to packs of 2 toilet rolls?

All down to reducing packaging, I reckon. Less wrapping going to the bin (or recycling if you can).

Laundry tablets, which came in a box and were plastic wrapped in pairs disappeared during the pandemic and never returned.

2Pac being shot in 1996 put an end to them.

I'm not even worried about myself… my 9yo son has the biggest turds I've ever seen!!!! as in, some of the basterds struggle to even flush!!!!

The stereotypical paper bag of shopping in old US TV/movies used to often have a paper-wrapped single on them (along with a french stick loaf and some veg, always).

You'd need to have no storage space, a shop very nearby and confidence in its opening hours to go buying toilet roll by the one.

We buy in bulk now in case another virus comes along. This was the plan from the start from the Chinese you see. They control the toilet paper market the filthy divils.

you won’t ever stop needing it until you are dead…. So I wouldn’t see the point in just getting a pack of two unless you were using public transport to get to the shop and back…..

Now it is coconut ... aloe vera toilet paper.

You've got the wrong person. I have three cars in the driveway & I'm thinking of something else for the weekend, I drive to do my large bulk shopping.

However, the fact remains, years a go a lot of people would walk or cycle to the shops which meant smaller packages and less bulk items as they're easier to fit in smaller bags. Nowadays it's more practical to buy larger packs of toilet roll as they can fit in the large boots of cars.

It's just the way the world has gone, it's not a biggie, don't overthink it. It's bog roll.

Also, let's not forget 3 ply tissue for people with extra special arses. Also blocks your sewage pipes too. Luxury !
