Ashford Motors Ltd

Nadia has finally registered Ashford Motors as a company. Interestingly she is a 50% shareholder in the company, with the other 50% share owned by her fellow director and boyfriend Eoin Cox.

Her boyfriends mother is ex RTE reporter/ journalist Valerie Cox - such connections are, no doubt, useful when getting on that RTE show a few years ago that kicked off Nadia's public profile.

Her media profile doesn't mention her business partner boyfriend - probably doesn't want to upset her fanboys

Rte are well known for giving free advertising to their cosy cartel mates.

It's the usual ploy when folk are making flirty media clips to leave out any mention of a partner .Some poor sods will be disappointed to hear she actually has a boyfriend .

She doesn't even need RTE at this stage, she'll just post something to Instagram to rile up people to generate views and clicks and then will post later on "it was a bit of fun will ya give over"

You'd want to be fair naive to think Nadia hasn't got a boyfriend!

Yeah, the bumper sticker on the Challenger she sold to some middle aged guy called Richie says "With love Nadia". Probably wouldn't good if it said "With love Eoin & Nadia"

to sell a product no matter how incredible, you have to have great marketing.

She's nailed it, and good luck to her.

I say fair play to her also , just personally I not into marketing - will all the hype around Ashford its still a relatively small used car dealer but as said her marketing works

I respect her for using AMEN as her charity for her calender

I really don't understand what this thread is about and I don't like some of the undertones in the original post.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,697 ✭✭✭goochy

I suppose people on boards motors are car people and not really into marketing Spin

it’s embarrassing reading the posts on her socials from adults. “Looking great Nadia” etc

Alan Lewis is a model special media platform for dealers.

Perhaps you could be a bit more explicit about the "undertones" so the OP can address whatever you seem to be reluctant to state

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 408 ✭✭Stevegeraghty

I say fair play to her, used car sales have always used flashy sales techniques.

Anyone who says that they wouldn’t use a relation or personal relationship with someone to get an edge in business is taking shite

This girl is busting her hole to get exposure, 2 months ago I’d never heard of Ashford motors and now they are everywhere, I’d imagine if she was a man there wouldn’t be a thread on boards about her business being registered.

I’ve a little girl at home and I’d like to think that things will change by the time she hits the workforce but I think that is naive optimism.

Keep doing what you’re doing Nadia

In fairness (going back to Junior Cert Business here) you need at least two shareholders for a private limited company.

I'll keep it as short as I can. Attractive girl owns & runs a car sales business. She's prolific & controversial on social media.

Some men don't like it at all.

Yeah, only one required anymore and, even back then just one shareholder required

    1 director, 1 company secretary

There can be one company shared issued, to one shareholder

Must have changed since 1997 so!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 314 ✭✭carfinder

What men are you referring to John? Apparently anecdotes are a No No on this forum so you should quote some objective source for this claim

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,697 ✭✭✭goochy

You don't need x2 people anymore to run a business

That's bullshit that if you criticise a woman these days you are misogynist

You could easily say why is she going out of her way to diss electric cars so much instead of just sticking to sell cars

Alot of people aren't into all this marketing stuff and find it a bit superficial

I am very familiar with beshoffs as they built up a good reputation but have never seen Jeremy showing off his Abbs or six pack .

If you put yourself out there you have to take the good with the bad

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,061 ✭✭✭✭John_Rambo

Lots of men on this site simply don't like her! Have a look for yourself, and if you have a problem with my post being a "no no" off you go and report it to the mods carfinder 😉

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,904 ✭✭✭✭Galwayguy35

The reviews all seem to be positive from customers, not that I could ever afford be one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 314 ✭✭carfinder

I'm not reporting anyone dude. Just referring to the house rules which I don't necessarily agree with. You made a bold claim, go back it up is all I'm saying!

Her promotional methods are quite controversial and will appeal to everyone

As long as people are not being horrible to her ( which some non boards people have been - she's gets abuse ) Then people are entitled to say they don't like her promotional stuff and might be tired of her being on the TV and radio alot

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,697 ✭✭✭goochy

Will not appeal to everyone should say !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,061 ✭✭✭✭John_Rambo

I know well you're not reporting anything because I'm telling the truth & you inadvertently backed up my claim. She obvously gets your hackles up.

She employs disruptive marketing. Small company with fewer resources challenging established incumbent businesses. People don't like that, particularly people in that business with status quo bias. Are you in the car business yourself?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 314 ✭✭carfinder

Yep.. I admire her efforts. I actually just dislike her trying to take down anyone who disagrees with her. Other than that, fair play - though I'd say she will get some marketing guru to tell her that she should be selling to the masses rather than appealing to them with cars they can't afford

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,697 ✭✭✭goochy

She's a woman what do you expect !!
